I was in the same boat as you 3 weeks ago and decided on the shimano and haven't been disappointed since. It bombs lures, very smooth, love the reel.

Headed to stonewall in a couple weeks for a weekend getaway fishing trip. It's our first time there, any recommendations for the lake ? Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

Ahh okay. Thanks man! I have a legend tournament now but I got it for 50% off. I like that rod and I've thought about sticking with them but they're $250+. I'll have to check out the kistler klx.

Anyone compare the differences in the zillion and tatula rods ?

I'm looking at buying a flipping setup and upgrading my rods at the same time. I'm wanting to stay around $200 a rod. If you were buying one certain rod in different weights and lengths. What would you buy ? So far I've looked at the Dawia zillion, okuma tcs and Helios, and the lews pro speed stick. Anyone have opinions on these rods or any other recommended rods ?

Yep! Was planning on a 400-450 setup but don't think that's needed.

Defiantly going to check out the super duty. Any certain rods you'd recommend ? I'm looking to keep them in the $175-$250 mark. I'm looking at the flipping Dawia zillion and the lews pro speed stick and the custom speed stick lite.
