Triton TRX21 Patriot
Can't say for sure on build quality years but I looked at them as well. Ended up going with a Caymas CX20. I was afraid long term they would go the way of Legend under the White River Marine organization.

Paddle tail like basstrix
Not necessarily conditional for me. I used the Basstrix on KY Lake for years on ledges. Sunny or Cloudy, big ones still ate em ?

Best Lake for Smallmouth in Missouri?
I've fished Table Rock my entire life. The most prevalent areas of big smallmouth are from the Kimberling City bridge to Long Creek Marina.

Co-angler Etiquette Question
Agree with JF above. When in doubt, ask. I fished for a long time as a coangler in BFL, Costa competition and now an angler the last few years. Having been on both sides of the fence, I expect the coangler to fish unfished water behind me. If I am going to fish both sides, I will ask him to fish behind me. That being said, if he respects my water I will go the extra mile later in the day to get him on fish. If I'm forced to fish defensively, it doesn't help either of us - nor does it gain you any favors as the day progresses.

7'6 Heavy Fast Replacement Rod uses
A 7'6" Heavy was the "gold standard" flipping stick for years. Extremely versatile rod, especially for deep fishing. I'd use that rod for: Carolina Rig Flutter Spoon Whopper Plopper Deep Crankbait Fishing 4"-5" Swimbaits

Trying to decide on a jerkbait rod, looking for advice
Depends on what jerkbaits you're using it for.. Personally, I like a baitcaster when using a Vision 110 size bait. When using a smaller Jr. size or a lighter weight bait, I prefer a spinning outfit. Anything in the 6'8" - 6'10" range - medium power, fast action makes a good jerkbait rod IMO. Long enough to get some casting distance over open, clearer water but short enough that it doesn't wear you out jerking all day, or hit the side of the boat constantly. You don't need to spend a lot on a jerkbait rod, many times a cheaper rod with a lower quality composite tends to have a softer, more parabolic action which is a benefit with smaller treble hooks. Tons of good options on the market - the IMX jerkbait series and the Alpha Angler Slasher are my current favorites.

Best braided line
Sunline FX2 for me. Use it for anything from Frogs to A Rigs to Whopper Plopper fishing.

Crankbait Rod Glass vs Graphite
I've used both, including one you mention. I used to have an E6X 7' MH cranking rod but sold it as I didn't care for the extremely short handle. I've since switched to glass and like it MUCH better. The old glass rods were heavy and not very sensitive. Newer generations are much improved. I use the Alpha Angler Rebound now for anything from wiggle warts to a 3/8oz jackhammer. Longer handle, very light rod and surprisingly sensitive. I like the protection glass gives you as well when it comes to keeping fish pegged with smaller treble hooks.

Best Cranking Baitcaster under $200
Revo STX in 6.3:1 for smaller crankbaits or Revo Winch for heavier/deeper baits.

Towing 21' bass boat with midsize truck
I towed my Phoenix with a 2016 4Runner for a while. Did just OK. Upgraded to a Tundra and not looking back!

Anyone used these jerkbaits and have opinions? Lucky Craft Lightning Pointer 110SP and Yo-Zuri 3DB 110
Haven't tried either but the Yo-Zuri 110 jerkbaits look great.

Brown craw vs spring craw (yellow) cranks
Brown craw in clearer water, spring craw in water with a little stain.

Craw imitation trailers for chatterbaits?
+1 for Rage craw in Falcon. Jordan Lee seems to like the Chigger craw combo.. Green pumpkin with tips in orange.
-
Baits you've given up on?
Lipless crankbaits. I know guys catch a ton on them but here in the Ozarks we have very little grass, so I rarely use them in the highland reservoirs around me.

Crank Bait Rod Wish List
I have the 7' MH E6X cranking rod, pretty light and balanced. Great squarebill rod, I like it.
-
Split Handle vs. Solid Cork Handle?
Preference really.. Used full cork for a long time. Tried split cork and hated it, felt awkward. Now most of mine are split grip EVA foam grips and I really like them.

How would you fish a 50 degree temp swing?
Downsize and slow down.
-
Ideal jerkbait reel ratio?
6.4:1. Never had any issues and I fish a jb quite often.

Is P Line any good?
+1. Big fan myself.

Need a clever idea for spinner bait storage
Plano makes 3707 specific box for spinnerbaits now. I went through similar headaches for years but love these new boxes. Won't be going elsewhere anytime soon.

G.Loomis E6x worth a shot?
I have owned several. They're great for moving baits but not the best for jig/worm applications due to lack of sensitivity. Any other application they're excellent rods though IMO. I still own the 7'4" Swimbait rod, one of my favorite rods.

line weight for deeper diving crankbaits
12 lb is fine. I use 12# abrazx for 6XDs, works great for me. FWIW - Pline Tactical is great line, tried it this year and have been using it a lot. Their 20 lb is great flipping line ?
