its cool because even if you dont like to fish off of it you can paddle to shorline that people cant get to and have awsome fishing oportunities there. kayaks are much faster and easier to go further with but you can take muck more with a canoe so it depends.

didnt get to fish much. only had 1 ultralight rod with me rigged with a roadrunner. really just wanted to get a feel for the yak. after a couple casts i got this guy. my first fish out of any kind of moving object. (more of a shore fisherman) and my first sandbass. so i killed 2 birds with one stone in a way. good luck everyone.

it was green right there but theres still lots of brown here in north texas. springs just around the corner though.

went out for about 2 hr 30 min and caught 5. missed 2. caught them all on a .25 cent bag of walmart tubes exept for 1 which was on a roadrunner:) good luck on your catches everyone

no. its a neighborhood pond that the builder built about 5 years ago. has tons of shad and sunfish for the bass to get fat on.

went out around 12 just to get away from things. only got 2 fish in about 3 hours one about a pound and the other went 4 lb 12 oz. but the weather was great and it was reallly quiet which i wanted and enjoyed very much. i have a feeling that if i go early morning and evening my results will be better. thanks for any one whos replied or even looked. i enjoy this forum very much

only had an hour to fish before my game.caught 5. they were hittin the lake fork tube again until i ran out with my cajun red slippin again on a big one. rigged up a worm and caught my biggest of the day next cast. 4 lb 4 oz., the smallest one went 1 lb 11 oz. im lovin spring comin in. the bass fight much harder little gut shot

ya. all of the fish here are definately healthy. i caught a 7 pound fish here that was 20 inches long. it had 1 biiiggg gut

catchin them was easy today. caught 14 in about an hour and a half all on lake fork creature tubes. got a new dig. scale so it was cool seein weights. smallest was 1 lb 4 oz. biggest went 3 lb 8 oz. hooked into a monster ( you know the kind were it feels like a big stump and your snaged) but my frickin knot slipped stupid me and lost it. camera also died about half way through. heres some. i think im gettin somewere with this bass fishin deal

went out this morning in the cold. caught a couple little ones. as sooned as it started warming up i started getting more and more bites. caught these tw about 3 casts apart. im not sure what the big one weighs but its def bigger than the 5.5 i pulled out of here because i could barely thumb this one out of the water. he was caugth on a seizmic frog if ya wanna know.

it does float weightless with a light hook. i texas rig em and just bounce it off the bottom. its 38 degrees right now so im not so sure im going to go today. dang texas weather is craaazy. 70's yesterday and 30's oday

sorry. there called seizmic frogs i thing. there very similair. i think its the color that did it for me today. chartruese bottom with i light brown top with black flake. goin back tommorow with the scale and new stuff i got at BPS today. should be good

i headed out to the pond today to get on some bass from gettin skunked last weekend. it started out really slow catching one on a spinner and then nothin for awhile. it all changed when i was about to leave and decided to throw a new seixmic frog a bought recently. first cast bass. 3 min later another one. caught about 6 and lost atleast 5 on that same bait. it was awsome. these frogs are great

thanks everyone. really lookin forward to my first real full year of bass fishin. and i live in north texas. right by the speedway. so theres some good lakes in my area even though i really target finding hidden ponds. good luck everyone and thanks again
