Braid bad for equipment?
Good to know. I'm positive my equipment will handle it with ease then. Recommendations for braid line of choice?

Braid bad for equipment?
So is braid bad for fishing reels and the rod guides? Thinking about diving into some braid as the memory of fluorocarbon is annoying.

BPS and Daiwa???
I was just very curious about that situation and wanted to get the down-low of what's going on. It doesn't really affect me as I've got a GreenTop around me and they run a fishing shop for true anglers. Thank God for that!

BPS and Daiwa???
Thats very true. The internet selections are far greater too. I guess when it comes to rod and reel purchases I'll just have to put my trust into the good people here at BR.

BPS and Daiwa???
It sucks, I went looking for some very specific lures and to check out the new reels on the market.... Didn't check anything off my list. So where do y'all do the majority of your shopping now? Is TackleWarehouse the best option?

BPS and Daiwa???
I did notice that the only baitcasting shimanos they had was the Curado. I just never imagined that they'd decide to not carry Daiwa and shimano. They also didn't have any Lucky Craft cranks that weren't shallow squarebilled. No GYCB twin tail grubs. I was kind of disappointed as this was the first time in a good while that I've gone to up my tackle and see what new product they may have.

BPS and Daiwa???
So I did a search for this and didn't find anything. I was at my local BPS today and did not see one Daiwa reel. What's up with that? Daiwa remove their products from them for some reason?

How often do you catch a big bass?
Yeup, reason why I tagged you in my post. Your posts have thoroughly answered his real question regarding the gear he has and regarding his fishing situation. @Milos refer back to his posts and don't go forth until you understand all the terminology of his posts. You gotta start back at square one and take the time to learn a lot if you ever wanna be a good bass angler.

How often do you catch a big bass?
Yes there are plenty of seedless baits. Everything Texas rigged is weedless. The methods WRB suggested to you, the Texas rigged worm and Texas rigged senko are weedless. My advice, would be to try those two things and to learn how to rig a drop shot with a Zoom finesse worm. If you've never caught a bass on a plastic worm it may take you a little more time to identify a fish since with a crankbait or rooster tail they just nail it mid reel. Just keep learning. Read a lot. Watch videos of how to Texas rig. Get a hook and a worm and do it along with the vid. Also, as @WRB mentioned, your gonna want a better rod. Once you've got a rod with some more backbone you'll be able to effectively throw a wider range of lures that will definitely increase your chances in ore fish fish definitely more big fish.

Yes, There are Bull Sharks in rivers
I know they get up into the Chesapeake bay and in some cases they work their way up into the Potomac river. There was also one scenario a handful of years ago where a Manatee worked its way all the way up the coast and into the Chesapeake bay. Hahaa super journey man.

Zoom Lures
That's my personal favorite lure.

Flyfishing
That's def something that I always gotta remind myself. Especially with the frog. I'm dying to hook up with a nice largemouth on it though. I imagine it'd be a great fight. Oh and those gold trout, I've seen them caught in a Vanagon flyfishing road trip documentary up in some high alpine lake in Montana. Beautiful fish.

Need to re-spool all my reels
For real. I need to just go in on a very large spool of something with all the reels I need to freshen up.

Flyfishing
You aint lying. I try and toss the frog on a 9 foot 5 weight..... it's a killer workout. I def need more setups. The 5 weight is my bow rod, then I have a 8 foot 3 weight for them lil mountain stream brookies. Need to get on your level!

Has this ever happened to anybody?
Somebody is gonna be stoked when they catch a fish that comes with a free rod.
