  1. I had a hole in a plastic canoe a couple years ago. I took a heat gun and strips from a Folgers can. It worked out way better than I would've thought. I did put some gorilla tape over the top of that. I floated many a river since and never once leaked a drop.
  2. Full disclosure: 95% of the time when I bank fish it's in the river in my backyard. So I just carry a couple rods. 1) generally a hardbait or some variety. 2) usually a soft plastic. In my package of soft plastics I throw some hooks and I'm on my way. When you're a whopping 250 foot from your back door you can pack super light
  3. The medical marijuana dispensary. That's all I got for now
  4. In my personal experience spotted bass can live anywhere. And generally where there's 1 there's a solid population. Anytime I'm fishing a small river or creek I'm gonna start with a rebel wee craw. That'll pretty much catch anything that swims.
  5. Pro staff deal or closeouts. I have access to a dealer book and get reels for what most would call cheap ( extremely relative term). The profit margin for most rod and reel dealers per product is low. I mean really low.
  6. So.... It's not really a rattletrap. Just a real shiny funky looking ballhead jig???? Makes sense
  7. I throw 15-20lb fluoro to a 12 lbs mono leader. I also fish a highland reservoir with lots of gravel and shell beds and such. You should be fine with what you're thinking. Cxx is pretty stout for it's lb rating.
  8. I tried the toothpaste thing after a tournament yesterday and it does work amazingly well. Thanks for the tip.
  9. Are you serious about the toothpaste?? Ive never thought of that.
  10. Falcon bucoo sr is a solid stick at the $100 price point. They're a little overrated on power. Plenty light and sensitive though. Lots of good options for an angler for that cost.
  11. I miss March madness the most. It's arguably my favorite thing all year. The brackets and Cinderella. All of it. I'm also a youth baseball coach and I'm missing that too. Hoping things get back to normal in time for football.
  12. Yes it's a striper. It was built like a tank. I'm guessing 12-14 lbs. And I guess that's a hognose sucker. I really wasn't sure what it was.
  13. I'm gonna go with yo-zuri. I've had a ton of success with their lipless and walking topwater. I've heard the jerkbait is good too. I'm just not a jerkbait guy.
