i'be never noticed much difference with a rattle for topwater lures...not personally against rattles,really don't consider

TRUTH!!I have done better throwing the 130 whopper plopper for smallies than the 90s...within reason size don't matter so many variables play into the equation

spinnerbaits are always tied on with me...try that topwater,always like throwing jerbaits,buzzwords etc. with the water cooling

Definitely be throwing a hollow body frog...and the obvious senko Texas rig

so comparing feet to a trolling motor what's the closest I can get to spots I'm casting into without disturbing the fish

love the Shimano synopant reels mainly because the triggers for flipping...and they are priced cheap and last..

Agreed...casting accuracy,Timing,patience,and knowledge/understanding of fish are some of the "skills" required to catch the big ones or lots of good ones..but my tip is more along lines of advice take the chance to throw to the tight spots don't fear getting hung..gotta risk it to get the biscuit!!

yeah I should have specified I don't trout fish either...just found what looked to be a good stretch of shallow river water with lots of cover

always fished boats and banks...went wading a good river the other day...looking for tips like how far to stay from the cover I'm throwing in..shorter steps as opposed to longer strides...completely clueless any help would be appreciated

best bet with no boat is ask around about farm ponds don't be afraid of scum frogs caught several 5+ on hollow body frogs/rats..
