Tournament- Cherokee Resivoir, TN
Hey Guys, Headed to Tenessee with the Penn State Bass Fishing Team in a week to fish a college FLW event on the Cherokee Resivoir. Not familiar with southern fishing as I am from Pennsylvania. If you've fished this lake in particular or have an idea on how you'd attack it, I'd love to get some of your input. I'm really thinking I'll focus in jig and senko for the most part. Thanks and keep those lines tight

E6x or Bass X
Thought I'd just post back up for you guys letting you know what I have decided to go with. I did not grab an E6X or Bass X. I ended up ordering 4 robs and 4 reels. I got an NRX JWR 7'5" paired with a Metanium for skipping and fishing around docks. I got a GLX DSR paired with a Stradic Ci4+ for drop shot of course. I got a Shimano Expride 7'11" paired with an Aldebaran for pitching/flipping. Finally, I also got a Shimano Zodias 7'6" Glass Rod paired with a Shimano Tranx 400 for cranks. Have my first tournament this weekend (April 21st, 2018) on Smith Mountain Lake, VA. Super Pumped! If any of y'all have fished SML, let me know and give some pointers!

G. Loomis Conquest?
Been considering to add another high end rod combo to my collection. Whichever I choose I know I will throw an aldebaran on it for use in pitching applications. For a while I had been looking at the NRX but recently noticed that G. Loomis and Shimano have come together to make the Conquest which is supposedly 10% lighter than the NRX. This rod is price pointed at almost $700 after tax. I'm wondering if the Conquest is that much better or if we are paying the price for two large fishing manufactures to collaborate on a rod. Any thoughts? Opinions?

Metanium mgl paired with a St. Croix legend extreme is my favorite combo I own. Couldn't figure out how to post a pic

Any Lures with a Perfect Record?
My go to lure is a rapala F-11 with the silver sides/belly and black back. I use it along rocky shoreline where there's a gradual depth decline. Bass go nuts for it. Just reel slow initially because it's a floating lure and that'll keep it skimming the rocks. Once you're in maybe 3-4 foot of water quicken the retrieve and give it a little action.

E6x or Bass X
Been considering a conquest to match with either an aldebaran or a metanium

E6x or Bass X
I get the discount off the full G. Loomis line up. I know I will end up ordering a few G. Loomis rods during my time with the team to test them out and see what I think. However, as I add 5 rods to my arsenal for the summer tournament season, I'm just not sure what I should go with initially. What I know (St. Croix) or what I don't know (G. Loomis).

E6x or Bass X
All my life I have been a St. Croix rod user and have many premier series rods and a legend xtreme (best rod I've ever fished). The bass team that I am on is sponsored by G. Loomis so I will get a great deal on their rods, about half price, and am considering investing in a few E6x rods for my arsenal. However, being a St. Croix guy and having my "brand loyalty" has brought me to look at the bass x rods which would be similar in price to what I could get E6x for. I'm looking for any thoughts and opinions on bass x vs E6x and I realize this is a very broad question but if you have fished either series I'd love to know about your experience with these rods. I'm really looking at the comparison in quality, sensitivity and comfort. Thank-you
