  1. Been looking around on this thread but haven't seen much. Anyone go out to Curtis Lake? Have gone out there once or twice but only bank fishing. Want to take the kayak out and tool around but curious if anyone has been there and found it to be a waste. Seen a few people fish off the little dock/piers but only one or two boats. So was hoping maybe this is just not a heavily pressured lake!
  2. Picked up my new FeelFree Lure 13.5 the other week and got it out last Saturday for the first time! Starting to get back into fishing and just trying to take everything in!
  3. Yeah couple hours after I posted this I found the site on Quantico about Lunga being closed. I've been looking at Smith, do you know can you drop in w/o going into Quantico? This isn't an issue, I'm able to get on the base. I do have a kayak and willing to go where I need but want to try and stay within Prince William/Stafford county, feel there's plenty of places to drop in. Looking at Chopawamsic on google maps, is it pretty calm? Went out to Leesylvania and went in and had a bit of a fight with getting towards Powells creek and then leaving and getting back to dock. Maybe able to settle some of this with buying an anchor system but thats a whole different topic.

  5. Hey everyone, Noticed that Quantico Marine Base has about 10 different areas to fish on their base and don't have to be active/retired military to fish. Civilians can just buy a temporary or season permit from the base and have access to all the different areas. Just curious if anyone has gone there or goes there on a regular basis? I feel like living around there, this is a great place to have multiple spots to hit in one day. I read their largest (Lunga) is open 24 hours a day!
