Dobyns Savvy Micro Series
Bought it on a whim. At the time was thinking jigs and t-rigs. A dedicated rod just to tie on a jig and leave it on tbe deck at all times. So sensitivity is not its strong suit huh.

Dobyns Savvy Micro Series
I know the rod series has been discontinued but was just wondering what you guys familiar with it thought about it. Bought a 705c brand new tags and plastic still on it for a deal. What can i expect once i get it out on the water?

Anyone run into this problem or is it just me?
It was emulsified grease. It had gotten wet somehow. Gonna strip em both and dry and regrease the washers. May go with a mono backing also.

Anyone run into this problem or is it just me?
All washers in both reels were slimy wet tho. Good idea but i swear it seems like the washers. All were slimy wet and when i spool i loop through the holes in the spool so the line cant spin. Weird

Anyone run into this problem or is it just me?
Recently startex using KVD L&L and noticed on 2 different setups that my drag wasn't working properly. Basically no drag at all. Only thing i can figure is the conditioner is getting the drag washers wet preventing them from working. Both reels are basically brand new. Curado 70 and Tatula SVTWS. Less than 10 trips on both rods. Sound familiar?

Battery ? Amp hrs vs Reserve Capacity
Looking to replace my tm batteries. I run a 24v 71lb thrust Mg on a 09 Triton 18hp. Not looki g to break the bank with batteries because i also need a new onboard charger. Can someone give me a quick rundown in the difference between amp hours and reserve capacity. Some batteries have RC listed while others have amp hours. Whats the truest listing to look at?

Anyone fish with Ark Rods?
Have the Invoker 7'1' medium spinner for shakey heads and etc. $150 rod but the deal with the Invoker is its a higher end blank that has cheaper components (guides and reel seat) to keep the price down. I love the blank but not a big fan of the reel seat. On some hook sets i can feel slack or a looseness where it meets the blank. Not bad enough that i worry about it coming off but it can be quite noticeable at times. Other than that i love it for the price. Very good sensitivity.

Trolling motor batteries and on board charger
I have a 2009 Triton 18HP with a Optimax 15. Running a 24v 71lb thrust Motorguide tm. I'll be needing new trolling batteries very soon and was wondering what you guys thought as far as the longest lasting battery life was. What brand? Also I'm considering getting an on board charger that will charge the batteries when the big motor is running. Looking for recommendations on that as well. Thanks guys.

Shakey Head spinning rod
Looking for a midrange price point spinning rod for shakey heads.1/8 to 1/4 oz plus stickbait with 3/16 oz being the most common weight I throw. Wanting something in the 6'10 - 7'2" range in length with sensitivity being the most important selling point to me. Budget of around $150. Already have the reel that's going on it. Leaning toward the longer of the lengths I might add. Suggestions??

Preferred line for skipping?
Made my mind up I'm gonna learn to skip docks and overhangs come Hell or high water. Have a Kistler 6'9" mlh fast action with a Daiwa Tatula SV TWS and wanting line recommendations. Currently have pp ss8 in 50lb right now and absolutely can't stand the stuff. Love pp original but this ss isn't what I was hoping for. What you seasoned skippers use?

Triton ignition switch problems
No they are cheap.....under $40 in most cases. But I'm thinking about going off brand from Merc if the problem is persistent like a few buddies have lead me to believe. It's not a motor problem, the original owner can crank it first try all day......i just have a hard time finding the sweet spot with the key. More aggravating than anything

Triton ignition switch problems
Recently bought a 2009 Triton 18 HP with a Merc 150 Optimax from a friend. The boat is in great shape, low hours and well maintained, but the only issue I'm having with it is the ignition switch is extremely finicky!! Turn the key over and you can hear the beep followed by the pump coming on but if the key isn't gingled EXACTLY right while being turned, she will not fire the starter. I knew it had the issue when I bought it as I've fished the boat several times with him. He was always able to crank it first or second try, and I have done it myself a time or two but sometimes it can take me 2 or 3 minutes to get it just right. Another friend of ours has owned 4 Tritons and he says every switch on his ended up doing the same thing. I want to replace it but am not paying double for the part and 2 or 3 hrs of shop labor at a mechanic to do it. I will tackle it myself but seeing as how a factory replacement switch would be prone to the same issues I would like to go aftermarket. Any Triton guys run into this issue? Any aftermarket switch recommendations?

Chatterbait (bladed jig)
What is your favorite chatterbait style bladed jig? I know there are tons of brands and styles. From my experience some are better than others (mainly durability) What is your go to? And do you notice a difference from the lower priced $4 and $5 ones and the higher priced such as the Z-man jackhammer which can run upwards of $16? I know the style can produce big bites when other reaction style baits won't do the trick. Main question here is are the higher $$ baits worth the extra money or just a market ploy to charge more for essentially the same bait?
