  1. I am going to purchase my first flipping set up here very soon. In Florida, I am learning to compete in tournaments you must be handy with this technique as the bass consistently are buried deep in the vegetation. Any info would help. Mainly some preferred rods. Thanks
  2. I was fishing a lake about 45 minutes on down 441 from Buzzard Beach Ramp on Saturday morning. Sure was cold huh. Anyways, jigging spoons 20-30 ft of water worked pretty good as me and one other boated around 20 or so. Schooling size bass though. A lot of undersized fish but would have definately had a limit. I dont know if that will help for the future when u run into those conditions.
  3. Very nice fish. I have fished black lake the last four years as i take a trip to NY in the summer time once a year. Black lake has some awesome smally fishin. Also get some very nice northerns outta therea also. I wanna get on some walleye next year. Anyways, just an awesome lake.
  4. I'd like to fish in it. What are the times and is it team tourney? Is it going to be going on tomorrow 10/3?
  5. Black/Blue is the way to go. I will also use green pumpkin/brown in clear water but black/blue works there as well. I just started fishing jigs extensively this year and they produce very well. It's become one of my go to baits for sure.
  6. There's nothing wrong with keeping LEGAL sized fish. Personally I C&R with bass, but thats just me. As long as people keep within the limits/size, then you really can't say much.
  7. You could also try throwing a jig n pig or maybe a carolina rig worked slowly.
  8. I'VE GOT A NIGHT TOURNAMENT HERE IN FLORIDA IN AUGUST. I WAS JUST CURIOUS AS TO HOW OTHERS WOULD APPROACH IT. 6PM-2AM. ANY STRATEGIES OR SPECIFIC BAITS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. HERE'S A LIST OF A COUPLE I DEFINATELY WILL BE THROWING. BUZZBAIT (BLACK OR WHITE) DARK COLORED PLASTICS DARK JIGS SPINNERBAIT (SINGLE COLORODO BLADED, BLACK)

    Hey man, nice fish. WTG!!!!!!
  10. I KNOW RIGGING AND HAVE READ A GOOD AMOUNT ABOUT TECHNIQUE FOR A CAROLINA RIG. I PLAN ON GOIN OUT AND ACTUALLY THROWIN ONE THIS WEEKEND FOR THE FIRST TIME EXTENSIVELY. THE MAIN THING I WANNA KNOW IS WHERE SHOULD I START THROWING IT. I DONT HAVE ANY GOOD ELECTRONICS, JUST AND OLD DEPTH FINDER. DONT EVEN KNOW HOW ACCURATE IT REALLY IS ANY MORE. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
  11. What is yalls best setup for throwin crankbaits? Also for plastics?

  13. Hands down. On the Water! You can't learn until you go out and fish. You must make mistakes to learn from them. If you went out there and started slayin em from day one, then it really wouldnt be fishin. More like catchin.
