For 1/4 —1 oz crankbaits i think over 15 lb braid is too much..

Thank you for your advice.I ended up ordering Major Craft Basspara Medium 1/4–3/4 oz. for the line i went for varivas high grade pe 11 lb braid.

Hello . I decided to get my first baitcast combo after using just spinning gear for a long time.I recently bought a Shimano Curado 71 XG and I don’t know wich rod will make a good combo with this reel. I am fishing small ponds using 80% Crankbaits between 1/4 oz - 1 oz. My budget is max 100$ for the rod . If anyone can recommend me anything good that will cast the weights mentioned above,that will be great.And a braided line to go with this also. Thank you! Have a nice day!
