  1. @Delaware Valley Tackle Thank you for that- very much appreciated! I did some looking around and saw Mud Hole has a CRB Turnkey kit for $160 I think I’ll grab. I was unsure of reamer sizes and was thinking of getting a whole set to be sure and then figured, for a little more scratch I’d have the basics for most jobs- there are more than a couple of rods missing a guide here or there. Again, much thanks to you. @spoonplugger1 Thanks for that tip- smart! Unfortunately my district got rid of all shop classes in the 90’s?‍♂️.
  2. Hi all. I received some donated rods for the high school club I coach and one rod had a broken reel seat both heel and toe. It’s an old green Crucial and the rod is in otherwise great shape. Is it possible to replace the reel seat and grips without removing the guides? I have no experience in rod building and repair, so please excuse the cluelessness of the question. I just would like to get the rod to a kid if it’s not too big a job. My area is lacking in guys who do rod repair.
  3. Good info- thanks for solving my issue. I really appreciate the help.
  4. Weedwhacker- Thanks! Is it a micro SD card like for a GoPro or other camera? If so, would I need to get an SD adaptor for the HB slot or does the unit actual have micro slots? In several YouTube videos it looks like a standard size card. Sorry about being so demanding (and needy) but I hate buying tech that doesn’t work.
  5. A side question on this topic: I just purchased a Helix 9 DI GPS G2 for the bow (first HB unit replacing very old Lowrance) but I know nothing about SD cards. Humminbird site says to use Multimedia Cards, but also SD cards- both 32GB or less. What I don’t understand is whether a SDHC is the same as a SD is the same as a MMC as far as compatibility for use in the unit? I do understand the names have changed with the technology but I want to make sure I get the right tech for this unit. Thanks for the help.
