  1. what hooks do you guys use to replace the hooks the kvd comes with
  2. Cabelas has better clothes and bass pro has better selection of fishing lures and fishing equipment in general. As mentioned before I would get a visa card and wait for sales on TW as they have them several times a year during certain holidays
  3. I was going to load up on some square bill cranks in preparation for hitting the spawn in KY and was wondering what you guys recommend. I was going to get some KVDs and also was going to get some LC RC and noticed they don't make them anymore. Thanks
  4. Interesting, what weight you go on the gliss, I havnt heard of that stuff until you mentioned it.
  5. Good to know!
  6. Thanks for recommendations guys, i've seen some pretty cool apparel out there
  7. Thanks I may go ahead and give it a try. I was going to go with powerpro super slick for my braid and not sure what leader to use. Any recommendations?
  8. I appreciate it Allen, I've been pretty close minded when it comes to fishing. I've only fished what I've felt comfortable/confident with and I think I'm really missing the boat. My goal is to leave everything at home I'm confident in and take this year to learn something new and create a new weapon In my arsenal. Just to show you how close minded I've been, I still only use spinning setups because I get frustrated and won't take the time to get the hang if a baitcaster. Sad I know.
  9. That would be pretty cool to do, I just need to get good with jigs and learn them before I make that leap
  10. Well that was a fairly expensive trip. I'm trying out different weights, colors and styles that I think will work best in my given area to see what I like the best and then I'm going to load up in them when the wife isn't paying attention
  11. This may sound weird but, I'm looking for some cool fishing shirts, hats, sweatshirts and long sleeves. I like wearing different stuff and don't really have any fishing clothing. I like the stuff I saw on avid website but was Interested in seeing what you guys recommend. Would like to get some local (ky) or small business shirts that have cool looking logos.
  12. I found other jigs laying around to quickly fill that open spot and cut the plastic piece to create another spot at the bottom and now she is full!!
  13. Thanks I ran and showed my wife I thought it was so pretty but she just thought I was crazy/drunk
  14. I use these bags for plastics bag for worms, trailers, and crappie stuff. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas-Tub-Tackle-Utility-Binder/2332885.uts?productVariantId=4717417&WT.tsrc=PPC&WT.mc_id=GoogleProductAds&WT.z_mc_id1=04522175&rid=20&gclid=Cj0KCQiAh_DTBRCTARIsABlT9MY1lEUb-PH_CRnm9XhmAaPlMSl_UeqH3V11psgFK-XDbHdz1f_-bhkaAni9EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
  15. Finally my mind is able to rest after getting to organize my jigs today! ?
  16. Thanks for the input guys I have some research to do. ?I liked the idea of braid but didn't want to tie on leader or anything.
  17. Might pick up a ci4 to pair with my loomis 852s today and was wondering what line you guys reccomend pairing it with. My main use is shakey head and occasional jigs. Thanks
  18. I've tried a lot of different rods and I have always gone back to loomis, I wish I didn't have such expensive taste. But for whatever it's worth I always catch more than the guys I fish with and although I like to think I'm a better fisherman I'm going to have to give credit where credit is due, I love my loomis poles!
  19. Thanks I will look into those as well. Where is the best place to get the beat deal on these rods? My wife was nice enough to buy me my other NRX for a present, completely unexpected, and she paid retail ?. Other loomis I used coupons at cabelas.
  20. Thanks for reccomendations I did have have alot of those rods in mind already except for the conquest. I havnt heard much about them from people but I'll have to check them out but, wow what a price tag lol.
  21. Hey guys I am actually new to jig fishing and wanted to have my main focus this year on mastering jigs. With that being said I was wondering what set up you guys reccomend for a good jig rod. I am partial to g loomis as I've tried alot of other stuff and just have always ended up going back to loomis rods. I bought a bunch of seibert sniper jigs that I can probably utilize with my nrx 852s somewhat but with the seibert grid iron in 3/8 And 1/2 I need a good setup. Also thought of using braid and tie on a liter with the new setup. Thanks guys!
