Backroad Angler's post in Pedestal on bow was marked as the answerIf anyone runs into a similar issue.
I ended up using a pipe wrench and wd-40. The pole was threaded on so I just had to give it some strength and it came off, no issue

Backroad Angler's post in Mepps Comet Minnow was marked as the answerThe mepps comet was one of the first lures I ever used, I used the 1/6 oz which seemed to catch more bluegill and perch for me. The 1/4 oz caught more bass for me.
As far as colors go, I only used the silver and it was a pretty good producer for me. Next time I go out, I'm going to rig one on again, it's been a minute.
