  1. I recently bought a KVD elite crankbait rod and it’s pretty decent.
  2. Hey y’all, I’m in the San Antonio/ Austin, TX area Looking for a potential bass club to become apart of.
  3. I have slight tendinitis in my right hand. What worked for me is I ended up searching stretching and strengthening exercises on YouTube. I follow this set of exercises mainly. https://youtu.be/bOXI-wxepmI
  4. Once a Texan always a Texan! (From a Texan) Good luck on the move and I'm sure yall will miss Texas a little bit.
  5. Welcome!!
  6. Thank you everyone for your replies, I have the money to buy a new boat, but I think I’m gonna hold onto mine for at least 2-5 years more is the goal. As of right now, I really like the size of my boat and how it handles. If I did upgrade, I would probably stay in the same size. @Scott F you nailed it with a hammer. I think the excitement I’ve had with this boat has just opened a can of worms and thinking about the latest and greatest recently
  7. Hey y’all, I’ve been thinking about something for a while and am stuck on what to do. I’ve always come to Bassresource when I’m in a pickle with anything fishing related. I’ve owned my 2014 Bass Tracker Pro Team 175 TXW since septemberish of last year. This is my first boat I’ve owned and I did not really know much about boats before this. I’ve learned a ton already and have had many days on the water with it. I love boating and it’s definitely made fishing more enjoyable for me. In March of this year, I broke down in the water due to a faulty ignition switch, I ended up taking the boat in for it to get worked on and checked out. It’s in decent condition, everything functions as it should. Some dents, and paint damage from the last owner, but that’s about it. When I had the issue in March, I started thinking about upgrading to something newer. It’s come down to two questions for me, is it worth it to start looking for something else (probably a newer 175) or wait a few more years as I’m sure this boat still has a lot of life left. Any advice would be appreciated Thank yall.
  8. I wear Crocs when I'm in my boat and use to go barefoot when I was in my kayak. Recently, I heard of some waterproof Heydudes, may be worth a look.
  9. Green pumpkin and Junebug is primarily what I use. Sometimes a watermelon red
  10. That looks like a 4.5 pounder to me! Looks like we have another Roland Martin on our hands 😂
  11. Every time I've tied a Senko on its been weightless on a T rig or a wacky rig. My thought process with it is that its a heavy lure on its own, so I've never really saw a need to put a weight on it.
  12. life is so short. I also thank everyone who has passed for their contributions and wealth of knowledge they shared on these forums. Rest in peace.
  13. I agree with the Boonie hats! Also to add, I’ll wear a cowboy hat from time to time out on the water and it works for me.
  14. For me it depends on the area I fish. If it’s a small pond, I’ll fish the same spot all day long. Larger areas like lakes or rivers, I’ll spend Mabye 30 minutes to a hour on a spot and move on
  15. I’ve used Senkos that are torn up something bad, and I still catch fish on them.
  16. I was more proud of buying my first boat than when I bought my first house. I had also not grown up around boats and am still getting the hang of it. I bought my 2014 Tracker when I was 26, and it’s still fairly new to me. I keep things simple, if I don’t have the financial means to do something, I revisit the issue later and reevaluate at a later date. When I was younger, I fished out of a kayak for years and I enjoyed it tons, but that’s what I could afford at the time. Enjoy the fun times, we only live once. Just don’t go bankrupt trying to fuel a hobby is my 2 cents!
  17. So far it’s been Crankbaits, T Rigs, Wacky rigs and Free rigs.
  18. I don’t throw a ton of spinnerbaits, but when I do, I primarily use war eagle and haven’t had any issues with them.
  19. You got me itching to look at new trucks now, but mine still has some years to go lol
  20. What I’ve done so far in my boat once a year is: Change oil Change both fuel filters Change oil filter Change lower gear unit oil Change spark plugs
