  1. Once I match a rod and reel, I usually keep them together. Although with a few of my combos in the past, after fishing with them for awhile I decided I wanted something different and switched them around.
  2. Right now I feel like my time is split between the two. If I only want to fish for 2-3 hours I’ll throw on my waders and hit the river or local lake. If I have more time, I’ll take the boat out.
  3. Son 6lb test yo zuri, A few bags of soft plastics Some storage containers/bags for tackle to go in the boat A new scale
  4. Did not know this! What a great actor, RIP.
  5. I feel like a lot of kids/people nowadays don’t care whether they bother fisherman out on the water. More than time again, I’ve seen people throwing rocks, letting their dogs run, or just splashing about with no regards to the fisherman nearby. At least this has been my experience in Texas.
  6. 6 inch Senko weightless
  7. I wouldn’t get rid of anything, especially if you don’t have a ton of lures or tackle to begin with. You’ll never know if one particular thing is going to work great one day or not. What keeps fishing interesting for me, especially when I am not catching anything is trying different presentations and such to see what gets bit or not. Due to that, I like keeping an abundance of lures and tackle even if it’s something I don’t use frequently. With that said, if you give one of those lures a chance and just don’t like the presentation or it’s just not working after time and time again, may be a teller to move on from it.
  8. Prayers to you and your family. I can’t imagine how you are feeling, keep your head up, stay busy and keep your friends and family close.
  9. Does your city ordinance address anything regarding how snow plow workers are to conduct their business?
  10. I was working an off duty gig when the game was going on at a local movie theatre, thought it was gonna be closer lol.
  11. I use vinegar and water as well to clean the boat. From my research, there’s no harm to the painted aluminum from using that combo.
  12. I use Lucas Slick Mist Marine Wax on my boat, shine comes out good and it lasts.
  13. Welcome
  14. You’re all set! Very cool
  15. I’ve always been a dog person because that’s what I grew up with, but I work long and weird hours so here’s Harper, I’ve had her for a bit.
  16. Reading books related to finding structure, locating big bass, and everything related to fishing is beneficial in my opinion. You absolutely cannot go wrong with reading books. You can’t always be on the water 24/7. Reading these forums, other resources and books are a good way to improve your knowledge base. With me, I love reading so when I got into fishing when I was 17, one of the first things I did was pick up a book related to fishing, Roland Martin’s 101 bass catching secrets(great book). The Infisherman concepts with largemouth bass are good reads. There are 3 of them.
  17. SA meaning San Antonio?
  18. Once it warms up a little bit, I’ll hit the lakes pretty hard 👍🏼
  19. Love it!!
  20. I would rock that Lol
  21. Lonesome dove! The books are really good too.
  22. As of recent years, I feel like smaller lures have started to dominate the market. To be honest, I don’t see a whole lot of fisherman in my area throwing anything big I’m interested in trying out some big lures now though
  23. Yeppers, always. Thanks!
  24. Update So I went to Lowe’s and got a wrench to remove the ball from the hitch and reverse it. Tried many times to loosen it, could not do it. As I’m on the ground trying to loosen it my neighbor comes up and asks what I’m doing. He then proceeds to try and help me and we can’t get it off. Ended up trying one last effort to hook the trailer to the truck while it was in the garage and this is the result. K Conclusion, There was no fix, I was just being silly I guess lol Thank you for everyone replies and help!
