Anybody ever wanna go back?
I still fish still like this for the most part, I take out a couple rods nothing fancy and hit a pond, river, lake whatever it may be and just have a good time. Never really focused too hard on the 100000 different lures, rods out there yet. lol

Do you use your index finger to feel the line when fishing bottom contact baits?
I do with a baitcaster

Medium heavy / fast action rod for (almost) everything?
At the end of the day, it’s personal preference in regards to what actions/powers you use for your rods. With that said, most of my rods are medium heavy/fast as well. if I was a professional fisherman I would probably be more picky, but for what I do it works for me.

Scents
Hello! I've recently adopted a cat, her name is Harper. This got me to thinking, if pet scents whether its a dog or cat or whatever, affects bass fishing. I fish a lot of soft baits, and have a ton of bags laying around sometimes. My little cat is curious and I've caught her sniffing and trying to mess with the soft plastics (no hooks around). I know some scents may affect fishing, just never really thought about the pets in the household. Anyone else ever think about it? Thanks

Best weight/action for sensitivity?
Its hard to say as it varies from person to person. Based on what lures you wish to throw on a set up, I would rock the mh/extra fast rod vs the heavy. The heavy may be a bit too stiff for what you want to throw.

Daiwa is simply smoother than Shimano now
I’ve been using Shimano reels ever since I got into fishing. Never tried Daiwa, haven’t had a reason to change. preference at the end of the day, all brands have their pros and cons.

Mepps Comet Minnow
The mepps comet was one of the first lures I ever used, I used the 1/6 oz which seemed to catch more bluegill and perch for me. The 1/4 oz caught more bass for me. As far as colors go, I only used the silver and it was a pretty good producer for me. Next time I go out, I'm going to rig one on again, it's been a minute.
