  1. Rapplas are the best jerkbaits imo
  2. I throw everything in a old janssport backpack and go to work. ranging from about 1-2 tackle trays, towels, pocket knife, water, needlenose plyers, and thats about it
  3. I would try a albright/aberto knot its smoother and a super strong knot. The knot you did may be too thick.
  4. I would add some swimbaits and some spinners edit: and you could also hook him with some decent line, small tackle box trays, a line conditioner, and oh yeah a little booklet with fishing info(legal sizes wise, bag limit, etc) you could pick up from walmart for free! Just to toss some ideas out there for you if you planned on giving him anything else than lures/hooks.
  5. The winter months about once or twice if that and every other month about 4-7 times.
  6. One of the most informative and underrated is a fellow named The Fishin Pastor he is a priest in cali and has a lot of juicy videos on fishin.
  7. Hey man welcome to the forums!
  8. Honestly the fish just don't like to move around much in the winter, I've seen some people catching them with slow moving senkos/dingers though. But trust me, you arent alone!
  9. Hey yall I'm a 19 year old from Texas and just recently started fishing about 5-6 months ago. Never really grew up with it, but got hooked when my grandpa came down and gave me a 20 dollar spinning combo lol. Now I'm engulfed in the fishing world giving my shot at baitcasters, different line, and just trying to figure out what I like best.
