Up around okanogan has good bass and duck lake in ocean shores did when I fished a long time ago heard it's not great anymore though. Probably closest decent fishing for me is mason lake

Thanks guys. Been searching and reading. It's unfortunate but I don't have a local bass club anymore

Thanks guys here's my first question if you have thoughts...
  6. Ya also in the northwest everything is 100% more money. I've been looking nationwide and am going to hire a boat surveyor to look it over and pay u ship to haul it. I found a few already but sellers think I'm a scammer so refuse to let me buy. Like a scammer would hire a local boat surveyor. A 2000 to 2008 bass boat here is 20k or more outside of this area they can be had for 6 to 10k so well worth the shipping
  7. Yes I have. The waters here are small and shallow. I just can't see me maneuvering a deck boat around here for fishing. Lots of stumps trees etc to get around.
  8. I've been using a 15' mirrocraft aluminum boat now and it's a nice little boat with a live Well and front platform but now with 3 kids and a wife I'm looking to bigger. We live on a great lake and the kids like to tube and I'm sure eventually wakeboard. So I got $13k to spend and I'm looking for a fish and ski model. The skeeter sl series seem to fit the bill. Any other suggestions or recommendation please advise. -meat
  9. I would like to know what I should set my current rods and reels up for and based on what I have make a recommendation on 1 new setup. Thanks in advance for any replies. What I have.... Poles/rods 1) g loomis spinning gl2 802S jwr 2) g loomis casting gl2 mbr 7830 mh 6'6" fast 3) G loomis spinning glx bsr852 extra fast 7'1" 4) cabelas casting fish eagle II, gcII 603, in 6' Reels 1) Abu Garcia silver max, 6:4:1 gear ratio 2) Mitchell 310, 5.2 ratio 3) shimano Sahara 2500fe I have $400 could go a little more for new setup. I was thinking I could get a new reel and pole like the bps platinum signature combo and have 100 left to spend on another reel for the fourth pole. Up above. Also on sale is the revo rocket and I am debating that paired with a temple fork or st Croix legend rod. Open to any suggestions and what I should do with existing equipment. -meat I fish in Washington state. Most lake are thick with weeds under water and above. No way to fish cranks. Some spots rapalas will work. Mostly use spinner baits top water and plastics mainly senkos. Water in lakes here is murky.

Hello everyone, I've grown up enjoying the outdoors it's the greatest joy in my life (don't let the kids and wife hear that) I used to tourney bass fish from ages 13 to 17 and was a member of the local bass club. My passion for bass fishing started at a lake I grew up on at my grandma's house. I had a 12' boat and a 1972 18hp evinrude "best motor I ever owned" saved my allowance for a year to get the $175 for that motor it was probably my first lesson on earning something as kid. started trying to catch bass and learned a lot from the club I joined. Life in general got me out of fishing and the spare time I had went towards hunting till now. I'm getting my kids into fishing and hoping to relearn what I have forgotten about bass. We moved to that lake I grew up on so my kids could have that same outdoors enjoyment that I had as I believe without it I would be a miserable person today. I can't fathom what people do to get enjoyment out of life when they are not into the outdoors. I have no fun in the concrete jungles (aka city) but I guess that's where those people would go have fun. More like torture for me. I will have lots of questions and making post hope some of you can guide me in right direction. -meat
