  1. haha, my bad i was talking about the johnny morris carbonlite
  2. That would work but you would get it for $200 dollars, Instead if you bought the combo that they have out on the rack it is $120
  3. If you are planning on getting it during the spring sale they wont let you do the trade in program bc it is a combo
  4. One of those craigslist post comes with a motor but it says it will not idle is this something i should stay away from
  5. Have given it a thought i just would like to move around and take buddies with me Thanks for those suggestions, im in no big rush so ill put some money aside and wait until the time is right and a good deal pops up
  6. So here's my situation... I kinda want to get off the bank this year and fish in a boat but I don't have the money to buy anything nice, My options are either a small Jon boat off of craigslist or buying one of those mini pontoon plastic boats (like a pelican bass raider or bass pro pond prowler). I'm not sure if I can afford to put a nice gas motor on it so I was thinking off buying a nicer trolling motor and a couple batteries (I'm not going to need to go very far, just fishing small lakes and some ponds). Any opinions on what I should buy? I don't really want a kayak because I want to be able to go with friends. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  7. Thanks so much! I was looking all over and couldn't find them anywhere online
  8. I just got back from bps too. I’ve been casting in the backyard and love it! this is the best $120 dollar combo I’ve ever bought. Although, they were out of 7’ MH so I had to settle with M but it’s all good. I wonder if I could take it in after the sale and trade it out for a different action rod?
  9. Hello, I am thinking of buying a little boat like a bass pro shops pond prowler or sun dolphin sportsman, just something small to get around on the water for cheap. Anyways, I don't have a truck to put it into and was wondering if anybody knows if there are trailers I can buy or if I can make one homemade for cheap. If anybody has any experience with these boats any help is appreciated.
  10. I will not be using any deep divers just lipless, squarebills for the most part
  11. sorry, i missed your post... I am looking at the johnny morris carbonlite that will be on sale for the bps spring classic
  12. Haven't got to use it... but I have looked into it and heard that it is pretty good for the occasional fisherman but will eventually start to wear after time. But for the money, it may be worth a shot
  13. So to start off I want to say that I don't have many combos nor do I have the money to buy a lot of combos. I am getting a reel that I plan on fishing with fluorocarbon and throwing Finesse jigs, swim jigs, crankbaits, chatter baits, some weightless senkos and really anything else that can be fished with fluorocarbon. Anyways, The reel I want is on sale and only available in 8:3:1. Would it be the end of the world to use it for these applications?
  14. I was thinking the same thing, might not take the trade in but still a good deal
  15. So this week bass pro is starting their spring classic sale... they are running a deal where if you buy the carbonlite reel you get the rod for free. This essentially saves $120, but on top of that if you trade in a reel you can the carbonlite reel for only 100 dollars. Does anybody have experience with the rod and reel and would you recommend it? There's not too much out there on the carbonlite 2.0 so I was just wondering if I'm getting a good deal here.
