I wish I could find that video again, I'm not 100 % maybe it was just a split ring and a barrel swivel added to the lure and some how instead of tying he added something to the line . What is a Snap?

Does anyone here trust snap swivels? I seen a video but cant find it now, were they added a split ring and a barrel swivel to there whopper plopper and just tied a a snap swivel to the line for quick change over. Good ideal or bad?

I like to try some of those Keitech swing impact minnows with some weighted belly underspin hooks. Any info on correct size hook to get for the different size keitech and a good brand I hear the hook up ratio is very good ,any thoughts? number 1- 3.3 2-3.8 3- 4.3

Cool. I will probably go get some of those paddle tails and try them also ,maybe a 3 or 4 inch, don't know what size.

Thanks ,yea I don't know ,I always used them straight out of the box but yesterday I put a 4 inch pit boss on a couple of them . I cut about 3/4 off first, don't know if it will catch fish but they look good.

Thank You for the reply, I have 2 casting rods 1 is rated 1/8 to 3/8ths and the other is rated 1/4 to 5/8 ths Cant cast very far with them need practice.

might be a stupid question but ,what are casting rods good for if there only rated from 1/16 to 3/8 weights? were would you use these rods and what lures?

I remember when I was first learning to fish as a child, maybe 10 or 11 ,I used to open the bail set my rod on the ground pick up the end of my line tie a rock to it and wind up and give it a toss, I think I will go back to that method with my baitcaster, cause I'm not having that much luck.

What your saying then is casting is everything that rod and reel set up is not important?

I don't have 1 yet but was thinking of buying the curado 70 for lite stuff and pairing it up with mye6x852c jwr med x fast 7-1 loomis. was hoping for some feed back.

your opinion what reel is better? I also have a St Croix avidx med power 7 foot fast action that needs a baitcaster reel for small spinners and top water, basically all around. Mind I'm shooting for distance. I here the lighter the spool the better

I have a Shimano Citica CI201I on a St Croix pistol grip 5foot-6inch med power fast action rod and a Lewsspeedspool ssg1hl on a telloscopic 7ft 6 bionic blade, which reel is the better and should I swap them around ?
