How do you preview the details of the card? I am thinking that the guy who is putting the sonar on my boat is getting tired of me calling! I can't wait to get it on the water.

Do you guys have the Navionics card? I purchased the 2010 Platinum edition. I hope to check out Burke Lake this Saturday!

You guys are killing me. I dropped my small boat off this morning to have the 898 si installed. My plan is to use it this weekend. Once I get the small boat done I will be having the 898 si installed on the bigger boat also! It is absolutely killing me to have to wait till the weekend to see the unit in action. I will be burning a ton of gas tocheck out the reservoir!

If it were not for the sponsers our shows wouldn't be on the television. We should do our homework before buying any product advertised during the show. Let'sbe honest, would you watch a show if they showed techniques and fish were not being caught.

Anyone in Virginia using this card? I fish Occoquan Reservoir, Burke and Potomac River. Is it worth purchasing for my 898 SI?

Does anyone use side imaging in the Occoquan Reservoir? I have been wanting to get one and was wondering if it was worth having for the reservoir. Please post any pics if you have them.

Plug- I dropped the boat into the water and went to park the truck. When I get back to the boat my buddy says should the boat be filling up with water. I wasn't sure if I was madder at him for being an idiot or for me leaving the plug out. In an effort to not forget the plug I left it in. I put boat into water and it would not go anywhere. I look into bilge and it was filled with water. It took nearly 20 minutes to empty the water.

Thanks for the advice. I will use my 18 footer instead. I was trying to be cheap. I was going to get the 898 SI put on my small boat 1st and then the big boat next. I will just spend the extra money and have it put on both boats at the same time.

I was wondering how safe it would be to launch my 14 ft modified v hull with a 10 hp motor at Leesylvania state park and run across the Potomac to Mattawoman creek?

I am looking at purchasing either the 798 or 898 side iaging unit. My question is that the 798 doesn't have 800 khz. What is the difference between 455 khz and 800 khz?

Is there any difference between and internal and external antenna other than the obvious. I have seen them placed at the console and the transom.

Thanks for the advice. I have two boats that I use. I will purchase and extra power cord and tranducer to use on the other boat.I fish the Occoquan Reservoir and the Potomac. That set-uplooks like it will help me find more productive water!

I am thinking about buying the 798. Was the unit hard to learn? My Lowrances are used for depth and temp only. The side imaging looks awesome. Is yours set up at the helm or trolling motor?
