Oil Closed at $129.17 Today
While it is painful to our wallets now it will helpus to find better alternatives. There was no reason to look at different fuels in the past because of the low cost of gas. We now need to look at alternative fuels to help power our world.

Oil Closed at $129.17 Today
We need to have our country approve a realistic energy policy.I think we should approve as many nuclear power plants as possible. No greenhouse gases and much cheaper energy source. I am sure with all the money we save we could figure out how to store the waste. It certainly beats sending our money overseas. Or we could station the military overseas and ask tell them we we let them have some food if we could use their oil!

Towing
I am looking at buying a Tracker Tournament V-18 with a 115 HP motor. I was wondering if anyone knew if I could pull this boat with my current truck. It is a Ford Ranger 2 wheel drive with a 4.0 liter automatic.

How is the water level after all the rain we received this weekend? I will be heading there tomorrow and will be staying until Sunday. Anyone know what the fish are responding to?

Hats off to Chrysler.............
They will do like the airline industry and buy gas futures. Southwest has been paying just over a $1.00 per gallon until just recently due to their aggresive future contracs.

Tight lips on the Occoquan Reservoir?
I launched out of Lake Ridge and took a run up past Fountainhead. We stay for 3 hours without a nibble. This is the first time I have been blanked on the rez. I surely hope that Lake Anna is kinder as I will be there in about 10 days. We are staying in the cabins at the state park. Did you notice that there was alot of dead shad in the water when you went out on Saturday?

Breaking apart large over fished bodies of water
Jason, My buddy and I usually catch 5 to 10 lmb on the reservoir most weekends. I catch most of mine on crankbaits whilemy buddy works them over with a worm. I typically beat the banks just north of the 1st turn past the dam. I do not have much luck on the Occoquan River. I am hoping the weather will warm up on the weekend so can finally get the boat out!

I have a 65lb thrust on my 14ft modified v-hull. It will move the boat nicely. It is really helpful when I take it on the river.

Is any of this rain falling on the big O
It might not be used for agriculture but it will fetch a pretty penny for the sugar companies when they sell out to developers. USSC has at least 100K acres of land. That will be a great backup plan when they are no longer a sugar company!

Yum Dancin' Eel
I caught many bass on them last year. You can even add fish attractant in them.

Is any of this rain falling on the big O
I grew up in Clewiston. The one nice thing about the muck is it is very rich in nutrients. The soil between Belle Glade and West Palm Beach is very thin in spots. Some spots in the field are getting close to the bedrock. If the environmentalist had their way they would let the surgar cane field return to their natural state. They don;t seem to get it into their heads that we can not turn back time. I guess they would be happy if the population dwindled to nothing.

Crestliner Jon Boat Deck

Maybe they can take the muck from the lake bottom and replace the soil from the sod farms.
