Thanks guys, i will most likely invest in a better reel but i figured i'd ask about this reel first, thanks.

I was just wondering what you guys thought of this reel. I know the rule when buying fishing gear is that you get what you pay for but there are a few exceptions like the BPS extreme reel. I was just wondering if this reel will be another exception to the rule. For 40$ and having 10 bearings and good looks i figured id ask you guys what you thought about it. I have an old pro qualifier round reel and it has stood up good enough to still be used today. In fact it is one of my most used reels right now.

Explain? is it too much?

I don't know what rod to match the curado with? Please let me know what you think i was planning on a mh from 6'6 to 7'0. thanks

At Dicks they have a All Star Select rod for 50$. This rod is a Dicks exclusive but is 100% the All Star brands rod. I have one of the casting ones and it is very sensitive and very light. Im going to pick up another one of these tomorrow for my newest ebay find.

Well i found a Cardinal 302 on Ebay brand new for 25$ the other day. This is probably gonna tick you off road warrior but If you are just gonna put down anglers that can't afford brands like your favorite 700$ combos from shimano why do you even post in this thread. Every post of yours mentions about how good Shimano is and buy a Stella. As you said your post doesn't even have a place in this so called "Value" thread. I got a Revo for christmas and I bought a All Star rod at Dick's for 50$ to match up with it.

I went hunting there this weekend a few miles from the lake. I didn't get to fish it but next time my friend is going to bring his boat so we can fish in the afternoons.

i use a 5'6 medium ugly stick with worms and swim baits and have landed two bass over 7lbs in the last week.

Do you buy your earthworms or just dig them up ? I ask as I am not far from you(Doral) and looking for live worm bait shop? I have dug them up but have only found so many. Thanks i buy them at any shop i go to. Much easier.

it is a floating line all i know though is that its green and looks cooler than normal line lol i forgot to mention that i did get two hits on poppers the first day but it was at sunset and the water glare was bad and i wasnt able to see it in time

chum it and use wire leaders heavy line heavy pole and circle hooks and a red bull might help
