  1. 20 min away? I just flipped you off from my work desk in Cincinnati Ohio. I am very jealous. HAHA
  2. I like to keep a journal of what I used and when and where I caught it. I started to see a pattern at one of my local ponds that I was struggling catching fish. For me, it all depends on the time of the day. Are they held up in the weeds during the sunny part of the day or are they on the prowl early mornings and evenings. I would try the shore lines at a 45 degree casts in the mornings and evenings with both a top water and a fluke or texas rig. I would use a jig or punch in the weeds. More than likely they are deep in those weeds... Hope that helps a bit.
  3. I have learned to fish for bass in winter temps. I usually wait til April to start fishing in Cincinnati. This year I was out in Dec, Feb, March so far. I have researched the different ways to fish in these conditions. 1. Slow Cranks 2. Tight wobble cranks. 3. Dropped Cell in the lake in 5 ft of water 45 degree water temp. Got out of the kayak and got the phone back..... *&#$@*$ cold is all I have to say. 4. Learned to use a bladed jig..
