Starts & runs fine at idle, but when you tromp on the hot foot pedal nothing? This is the 3rd fuel pump that was put on last September. Could it be an adjustment outa whack or did it **** the bed again? I did adjust the hot foot pedal on the mounting plate back a little but the manufacturer says they’re adjustable on the plate with out having to adjust the throttle cable. This is getting very frustrating with this Yamaha that people say it’s very reliable!

It doesn't look like mine is welded to the trailer. It has a castle nut behind the shaft of the spindle Scott. And the new replacement from Ranger is the same set up. So it looks like I may have to apply a little propane torch heat to it before I try to pop it off with a mallet.

Its not the castle nut, its the whole assembly including the spindle that should come out once the nut is off. I get the nut off but can't get the tapered shaft out of the sleeve. Guess i could use the original spindle & just put the new hub on it, but according to Ranger just unscrew the nut & replace the whole thing.

10-4 Yak ???

Not sure if this is where this post should go but I figured Bass boats & equipment is close enough. Called Ranger & got the vortex hub replacement for the oil bath turbo lube original hub. Its a whole assembly integral hub/rotor on the spindle. Got everything off with the exception of the old assembly which is tighter than a Nun’s chastity belt. Even tried hammering on the castle nut with 3lb maul. It didnt even budge. Has anybody replaced their’s before & if so how’d ya get the old assembly out? The C-Tug looks like the way to go. Sturdy & breaks down to fit inside the kayak. Great design.
