  1. Check out Marine General. Was able to get 2 7 gear and a 6 gear.
  2. Not wanting to hijack this thread but I'm looking at this rod also. I would like to use it for 3/8 -1/2 oz chatterbaits and up to 3/4 oz lipless. Any thoughts for those uses?
  3. Thanks for the heads up. Been wanting to get 1. Smokin deal.
  4. Thanks.
  5. Received a bunch of these worms in a box of Gambler baits I bought. Trying to figure out what brand. Don't see anything on gambler. Anyone have any ideas?
  6. Not sure, thought I read that the sale was for the first 100 rods.
  7. Didn't say you did. Just statin a fact
  8. With 40% off all Dobyns rods, 25 to ship is still a smokin deal.
  9. So I swung for the fences and purchased a Steez AGS 7'6"H. Some great information and price at Tackle Trap sealed the deal. I didn't have a reel for such a rod so I bought a Daiwa Steez A TW 1016SH. The 894 is gone and the 873 is going. The new steez will fill the roll of 1/2 to 1 1/4oz bottom contact needs. Thanks for everyone's suggestions
  10. Ok, upper middle of the road. What would be some suggestions for a lighter (then 795) rod? Thanks. St Croix legend elite EC711HMF. I can get 1 of these for a very good deal, ( a little more then a refurbished 795) to much stick?
  11. Been looking at that rod very hard. Looks like the leading candidate as of right now. There is 2 listed on the refurbished Dobyns page now. Also, I would think they would be discounted for black Friday.
  12. Currently have a NRX 893 and 894 Both JWR. The Aldebaran was to light so I bought a Chronarch MGL. The 94 has a Bantam MGL. Both reels balance those rods very well. Doubt I would ever throw any jigs heavyer then 3/4 oz. think that’s pushing it on the 894. Guess I’m looking more for a pitch/punch rod for 3/4 to 1.5 oz tungsten/creature baits. Would like to try and keep cost to 300 or less. Don’t take long to spend a couple bills on a couple nice rods and reels. Currently have the NRX 893, 894 and a 873 CCR. Also have a GLX MBR 843 and 844. This pretty much covers everything for me except the rod I’m looking for.
  13. thanks for the suggestions. still searching.
  14. Looking for recommendations for a heavy jig, light to med punch rod. Would like to do both with 1 rod. Middle of the road in quality. Thanks.
  15. My want is stronger then my need.
  16. Looking for reviews on the Megabass Warhammer. Considering it as a punch, large jig, small swimbait rod. Thanks.
  17. See this is a old post but was wondering what your thoughts are on the warhammer? Thinking about buying one my self.
  18. Beautiful fish. Great job. I want one..........
  19. Anyone try swimjigs on this rod? Not sold on using my chatter, spinner, buzzbait rod for swim jigs.
  20. thanks, never thought about that one.
  21. Purchased a GLX 844 MBR and Dobyns DC 765 flip for a swimjig rod and a soft swimbait/paddle tail rod. These were recommended by a fellow bass fisherman. I keep going back and forth witch is best for each application as I believe they can be used for both. Anyone willing to give there opinion? Thanks.
