  1. Try the Ned Rig, Ive been watching youtube and they all say its excellent for finicky fish that are not biting anything else. I just placed an order from tacklewharehouse for some ned rig stuff and should be here today, gonna be trying it out this weekend since I haven't had the best of luck with the normal stuff "chatterbait, spinnner, wacky rig, jig, lipless" hope this helps ya out
  2. I use all braid to, I tried the whole fluorocarbon thing and hated it guess I'm not PRO enough to use it right rofl.. I had more blowups that I couldn't get out and ended up cutting up 25 dollars worth of line after only a few days of use. Braid I have far fewer issues with my bait caster and when it does blow up the rats nest is far easier to get undone. AS far as rather I'm missing a lot of fish due to line visibility I cant no for sure.. been told by lots line vis makes a difference and been told by others it doesn't /shrug Tell I can get PRO enough to use fluoro without all the bait casting blow ups Ill just stick to braid and hope that the bass are not line shy :)
  3. If I caught something that size id probably keep it to, and mount because something that size would be my absolute PB and I probably wouldn't catch bigger. I do keep bass to eat cause I LOVE bass "not sure why people think bass taste gross?" but their the smaller ones that are legal limit size, i would keep probably anything under 3 or 4lbs and only what I plan on eating for a meal, the rest get released. I don't feel that makes me a bad person for any of that, as long as I'm following the rules of the lake/pond/river I'm on which I always do. On a side note.. id kill to have a pond like yours around my area that I could fish, I'm super jealous
