Favorite Finesse Baits?
8" *** would be my first pick. I prefer not to fish straight tails smaller than 6" as they seem to be such dink magnets.

?? crank baits in pond/cloudy water??
If I understand what you're trying to say . You have got it backwards. Are you saying thinner cranks put off more vibration? Flatter crankbaits produce more vibration. Just imagine taking a round baseball bat and a flat bat and swinging them back and forth underwater. If you want maximum water disturbance, get a flatsided bait with a wide wiggle (not necessarily a wide wobble). In dirty water, though, my preference is for baits that have a high frequency action (lively). They move more and emit more vibration in a shorter distance traveled. People talk so much about how great vintage Bagley B's are....well, this is why. They have a tight, lively action.....new ones don't - they have a wide rolling action (that I don't usually like).

Bass Players
Noticed there's several bass players hanging around here - thought I'd throw up a pic (fortunately, my ugly mug isn't pointed at the camera). I actually picked up this Stingray5 as a gift for my fiance (in pic). A couple of years ago I bought her a Modulus Quantum, but she never did get along with the scale length. Got rid of it and fell in love with the EB the second she strapped it on. I'm not a bass player, but I completely dig it as well....more than the Modulus. It was a great instrument, but for the tones I prefer, the EB really delivers. Feel free to post about your toys.

Any guitar players here?
This idea has actually been around for awhile.....some archtop acoustic makers have used it and I believe I've seen a classical acoustic with top ports. I'd like to play it though....I think it would have been helpful if they would have mic'd the guitar for the video instead of just "plugging in." Acoustic pickup systems always sound like arse to me (compared to micing)........but I assume the purpose for this guitar is probably live stage use and not for recording purposes.

Tackle Underground?
This forum is VERY different than TU's forum, and I like to use them both. TU's setup is all about direct Q&A, which sets itself up better as a source of information and archiving. That keeps it from getting cluttered, as it were. Lots of experienced guys over there with a lot of valuable knowledge. In this forum, you can post pics of what you're working on and basically be a lot more casual with your posts and discussion. I made one of these posts at TU awhile back (a "look what I'm working on" type of post) and it was quickly deleted. Deleted!! The first time in 15 years of posting on the internet that I've ever had a post deleted by a moderator. ;D So there's a place and purpose for both forums.

Crankbait ID?
I believe you could be right. That straight masking pattern on the bill isn't typical of a factory lure. The eyes are also similar to some custom painters that just "drop" the eye with a drill bit....it leaves a pretty big bead depending on how thick the paint is.

Crankbait ID?
You're right....the Bandit doesn't have the beady little eye.....at any rate, that bait definitely appears to be based closely on Bandit's design. (lower is the 600)

Crankbait ID?
It's a Bandit 600 (discontinued). They will do 16'+ if I remember right. Been awhile since I've thrown one. They never seemed to get much attention in the Bandit lineup.

Show Us Some Tackle!
Stingjam..........Absolutely Amazing. Thanks.....I'm especially looking forward to working more on the deep crank design. I spent quite awhile last time I was out working on the lip and I'm stoked at how it's performing. Tight wiggle, seems livelier with a bit more tail kick than a DT-16, and dives in the 17'-18' range. I plan on making both a smaller (12' diver) and larger (20+) version of the design.

Staysee 90 is my most productive.- BR > BBC
I remember posting on AOL Fishing Forum back in the mid 90's. Comparatively sucked to the forums out there now, but at the time I thought it was amazing. I also remember the first time I joined a forum where threads were actually bumped to the top when it received a new post.....instead of continuing its spiral to obscurity despite getting more responses. Amazing.- favorite shaky worms???
Dude, that video was awesome. Wanna trade some vids for some tackle?? (i'll have to get you a better shakey head though) LOL b Thanks....I'm really not sure what that head was....it was laying around and I used it for the video. I don't think it's really a "shaky" head per se. I usually TX rig it with a pegged bullet since 90% of the time I'm throwing these in heavy cover.- Now I've seen it all. High fashion meets fishing.
What are you guys talking about . . this is great! I would smoke a pipe while wearing this.......and I don't even smoke.- Alpster is gettin married in the morning....
Right on! Congrats, Ronnie!- Which one would be a better choice for me?
Come to Pomme de Terre sometime. There are some very nice muskies in Missouri.- couple cranks I carved
