  1. Thanks for answer! The only thing dobyns are crazy hard to find in canada's eastern region ? Any lentgh or specific model? I was looking at st-croix I really should start trying graphite/glass ir the mix. Hard to try them before getting on the water! I typically also have a love for graphite rods, just kinda curious to see if theres a must have glass rod out there also! There are so many sticks to choose from and its quite hard to test them out without buying! Thanks for the answer!
  2. Hey fellow bass addicts! I have been recently tuned in on the amazing world of crankbaits and now looking for a new rod! Since I am new to this I have no idea who make the best rods or what to look for. I know probably a medium or medium heavy with moderate action does the job, but what rod?! Budget isin't really important I am just looking for the best for keeping those fish pinned! I'm talking pretty standard crankbaits, no dt-16s and not the worlds tiniest crank either! Thanks! Hope to get some great ideas! nat
  3. Well then I guess I'll have to buy a third rod down the rod (sarcastic oh no!) ?. I dont do a whole lot of big swimbaits so I might still use it from time to time. Usually throw a lot more the ROF5 6 inch. And trust me, here in southern quebec, we dont get that 25 with a breeze, more like 42 and thunderstorms haha!
  4. Thanks for the answer! I was also lookin at the 736! Sure sounds like a great stick, I would like to stay in the xtreme range of prices thanks but here in canada we cant get any smaller brands so most of it will either be shimano/loomis, st croix, dobyns, maybe ducketts, okuma fenwick etc... Thanks! Get the reels I have will do the trick then Thanks for the answer! Good to know for the bigger swimbaits, might keep that one for those two techniques also then Being from north of the border megabass are wicked hard to get and warranties even more... thanks to!
  5. Thanks! Do they pair up well with slitghly heavy reels? Nathan
  6. My thoughte exactly! anyway, you guys have any inputs or suggestions or help? thanks
  7. Hello bassresourcers! I'm looking to upgrade two rods I currrently own for both frogging and flipping. Both of these rods double as swimbait rods. One will be paired up with a daiwa zillion shla and the other with a shimano antares HG (12 model). I would like a frog rod that could double as a smaller swimbait rod (hudd 68 as ex.) and a flipping rod that could be also used for sligthly larger swimbaits (hudd 8 as ex). Current models that interest me are the st croix legend xtreme 7'11" heavy for flipping and the 7'4" for frogging or equivalent models in either the shimano expride or dobyns champion series. Thanks for your input! Any other suggestions also considered! Nathan
