Low on Oil? Just because it is peeing does not mean it is cooling your motor. When was impeller last replaced?

If you want an ultrex take the money you were going to spend and save it for another half a season. No sense spending money on something you wont be happy with and trying to sell it used, and buying an ultrex anyway.

A couple productive colors I just tied up this morning.

The lanyard is your kill switch it should be setup something like this depending on your boat. Your motors model number will give some more information to go off. 2 Stroke vs 4 stroke. Fuel injected vs not fuel injected, etc. Could be a whole host of problems but we need more information first.

I caught these three Iowa Beasts the other day. Big one weighed 8.2 lbs with a bull head down her throat. The next biggest weighed 7.1 lbs, the smallest weighed 6.45 lbs. 3 Fish for 21 pounds and some change. Finished out the 5 fish limit with two three pounders. 5 fish for 27 pounds. Easily my best day of fishing, and it was in a cold weather state Iowa.

Unbelievable day of Fishing for anywhere let alone, Iowa. Caught 5 bass for 27 pounds. Here are the two biggest. 8.2 and 7.1, all caught on self hand tied jigs. The 8 lber had a 12" bull head stuck down its throat. Crazy day of fishing with the social distancing going on I was fishing by myself and weary of asking strangers to take pictures, but I had to have these pictures!

How big was it? Measurements? My profile pic is just over 7 pounds caught in Iowa. It measured 24" but it was rather skinny.

Swim jigs come into play for me when the grass is in full swing. Not say they wouldn't work right now but I think there are probably better options than a swim jig right now with no grass to compete with.

Im partial to xpress. Love the boat and the ride. I have an older model so the compartment setup isnt ideal but the new boats they have a better configuration.

What are you looking to get for each?

If you are positive it is only your skeg, this can be a good option. Skeg Patch TH marine makes it. Sometimes when the skeg is broken other things are bent out of shape etc, and more expensive repairs are on the horizon. Hope everything works out!

I wouldn't count your old motor out yet. If it was me, I would do my due diligence to make sure that the motor was actually toast. Did the motor throw any low oil signals? Anything beeps to tell you something was going wrong?

2004 18' Xpress, with 115 on the back. Will hit 55 mph on a good day. Couldn't ask for a better boat, love the way the Xpress rides. I don't like the compartment setup but couldn't beat the price I paid for it so I can't complain.

Lots to be had at that price point! Shop around and find a good deal. Make a list of everything you want your boat to have and then go shopping. I scoured the internet for 3 months before I found a deal I was satisfied with. Snagged this boat for just under $6000. Has a helix 10 and a helix 7 on it. Don't be afraid to drive for a good deal!
