original rapala minnow vs. original rebel minnow
You get either one of those to run across a bass he's gonna hit it. That said I like the Rapala best for no reason than it was the first one I caught a bass on.

Who made this Lipless?
I have looked and looked just out of curiosity. I think its just a cheap Temu knockoff that someone colored. That said...It will still catch fish.

Had To CUT the Line QUICKLY
I am down here in Southeast,Tx. There is always some trash laying around, but the last 2 years has been beyond bad. Torn castnets everywhere, food trash everywhere, Modelo cans strewn across the banks or in piles. ect ect. My church pond was completely fished out from people coming in middle of night and castnetting everything. You wouldn't believe it if you saw it with you own eyes.....but it actually has gotten significantly better in just the past 6 months. I don't know what changed but people appear to be getting more respectful of the environment down here.

Old Rat-L-Traps?
I love old traps. They work just as good today as they did back in the day.

Fell out of the boat today.
I kind of pride myself on how far I can arch it off the back corner of the boat. Never fails though that my rods double over half way through. I'm not sure who is fishing for who?

Drainage ditch fishing?
Fish find a way. Here around the Houston area just about every neighborhood, strip center has a "drainage ditch" and they all have Bass. A worm under a bobber is the best way to quickly determine if a water body has fish in it, then you can focus on using lures once you determined. But I understand some fisherman have a reputation to uphold and live worms are a no-go.

Scent for Storing Plastics
Thanks for the recomendation Fishtank. I ended up going with Powerbait at last minute. I am sure it was plastic stable since that is what they use in their packages. I will also check out that geecrack for personal use, or as alternate scent.

Scent for Storing Plastics
Want to bring this topic back up. My 10year old son is finishing his lure project and we have tried "exotic lure scents" to stand out....but they all stiffin the plastic and seem to add a plastic smell to the package after a week. Like its litterly melting the plastic. I think these are meant for real time use and not to have your plastic sitting in for weeks / months. So should the way to go be just 100% anise oil mixed with glycerin? Trying to wrap this project up by next weekend. Don't want him to hand 30 of his friends a bag of stiff lures poorly scented lures. Thanks in advance.

I bought it and I am ready for the comments!
I remember the first ICAST that Carrot Stix debuted at. In my opinion they unintentionally set the trend that would later turn nearly ever rod into some bright color. Carrot Stix -->Reese-->Industry.
