Okay sweet! What swimbait do you use?

Hey! I’ve been really struggling with this topic, and I’m hoping some of y’all can help! I was wondering if I can throw a 1-1/2 lure on a Diawa DX heavy swimbait rod (2-8 oz). The only worrie I have is if I can cast lures under 2 oz on it (hud bluegill, s-waver 168, jackall jr, etc.) Thank you!

So if I would be throwing hud 68’s s-waver 168’s and jackals ( jr and regular size ), what rod would you choose?

I’m having the same issues right now. Have you decided on one and if so which one did you choose?

How is it working out for you, is the weight range accurate, good quality?

The reason of the Diawa DX is because it’s less expensive, I’m only 15 and I don’t have a job, so I want to be realistic with my price range.

Okay thanks, are there any recommendations for reels, I was looking at the Cardiff but the ratio is kinda slow for glides.

Hey guys! I’m wanting to get into swimbait fishing, and I’m having trouble figuring out which rod to get. I’m looking at the Diawa DX swimbait rod, and I’m looking to throw hud 6” and 68’s and s-wavers. The MH is rated for 1-6 oz and the H is rated for 2-8 oz. I’m wanting the MH because of the weight range but I’m afraid that it is not going to have enough backbone for the huds. That’s the reason I’m looking at the H, for the backbone. Thanks for your help!
