  1. Was reading this old thread because I just noticed Dobyn's was sold last year. Bought two of their rods this year and they still feel good. I don't' really understand the Pure Fishing hate. Last year I broke two Fenwick rods and they replaced them with newer models no questions asked. Didn't even require me to mail in the broken ones, just accepted my photo evidence. I also used a lot of Berkley line, tackle, etc. in fresh and salt with great results. Smaller companies like Kistler was a completely different experience. I broke a zbone model within warranty and they said they would give me a big discount to replace it. But the discount was based on inflated MSRP so it was essentially the same original price I paid when they ran their sales. I opted just to throw the rod away. Have not bought Kistler since.
  2. Dicks sporting goods has old gen Daiwa Procyon AL spinning reels 2500 and 3000 size for $85. Regular price is $200. I have 6 of these reels and they are very solid! Note they are aluminum and thus heaver than their other LT models. https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/daiwa-procyon-al-spinning-reel-21daiuprcynl2500sree/21daiuprcynl2500sree
  3. Midway has a 15% off fishing promotion going on use: FISHING052323. Cool part is it stacks with all existing sales/discounts and works on big ticket items like trolling motors, electronics etc. Also works on Shimano and megabass from the looks of it. Was tempted to upgrade my trolling motor to the Garmin force but couldn't justify it. Instead, I picked up a steez rod and megabass rod that were open box with 40% off then stacked the 15% on top.
  4. I love this thread because its members driven and I always find some great deals on quality stuff. But getting a sponsored link to clearance section disguised as a "moving warehouse" everything must go deal kind of sucks. Nothing against Karls, I buy from there. Just keep these on the up and up please.
  5. What's live about it? No discount or anything. I assume they will have a black friday sale but so many other shops now that ship faster and have cheaper prices. Competition is good for us
  6. Kittery trading post has 20% off 5 items and works on all megabass. Use code SHOP22. Minimum $84 purchase required and will qualify for free shipping. They do charge extra for rod shipping ($12 for me). No tax for me as well.
  7. Honestly, I think I'm done with TW. Was going to buy three new setups from them this black Friday to play around with. But never got the early invite. Then 1/2 of the combos I was going to buy became out of stock before they finally opened it up to everyone. Just does not sit right with me when I give them thousands of dollars in business. Going to branch out.
  8. Use code SMC on AFTCO's website for another 15% off site wide.
  9. FYI the code is DAIWA
  10. Rapala.com has site wide 30% discount code FISH30

  12. I have 3 Tatula LT and 4 Ballistic LT reels. Fished them hard and they are just a pleasure to use. I did pre order a vanford to try out just because it bugged me having daiwa on my only shimano spinning rod
  13. I ordered last night and just got confirmation. So it will come, they just behind.

  15. I believe thegpsstore.com has it without needing code. I actually just pulled the trigger on the $2100 livescope bundle (minus additional $200 rebate) with the 93sv from mygreenoutdoors because no tax from that website.
  16. Yup, confirm with personal experience. They literally take your money and then ignore you for a few months. Stay away if you know what's good for you.
