I know this is old but I had to try one. Sportsman’s has them on sale now. 59.99. Anyways, this is one stiff rod. I got the 7’6 for swim baits, and frogging. The “trigger” or part where you rest your pointer finger is way too short. All in all, once you get to the 7’6 length expect this type of action. All of my rods at that length have the same stiffness and action. Personally, I won’t purchase another 7’6.

I am excited because this reel opened up a whole new line of Diawa reels not offered in the US. After I get the Coastal I am definitely set for the Summer.

Anyone ever use these before? I bought it because I didn't like the price of Ikes caster with the same paint job. I have to admit, I bought a TWS reel and it has been a wild fun year for me using Diawa products.
