What is this and how do I fix this?
What is this and how do I fix it? The image of 30 ft appears to be a thermocline but the thermocline should be 6 to 7 ft. If I adjust sensitivity it does go away or get better but then I don't pick up fish. Current sensitivity is at 7 or 8. Get same image on trolling motor Fishfinder and transom Mount Fishfinder on two different transducers in two different units any help would be appreciated thanks in advance Sorry let me clarify I'm referring to the Clutter toward the bottom of the screen shows up on Side Imaging and 2D sonar.

Best place to catch a monster
I'd say wait til it's cooler and go south. But a 5 pounder can be broken in a lot of states. What state are you in? Tennessee, Florida, Texas or California. If Florida stain bass there you got a chance at a 10 or bigger. Sorry just saw your Ohio post. If you just want bigger than 5 Ohio's got a bunch. The aep lakes are within an hour of you and 7s and 8s are caught every year, and that's northern strain.

The ones that haunt you... Big ones that got off
Feels like I've lost a few more fish latley too. I use mostly florocarbon I now which I think I get more bites over braid which I used to use for about everything. Flouro streches more over braid so may not be driving hooks home as hard but maybe getting more bites. Ah who knows?

Please educate me on general bass forum
Seems every post fmgets moved to a different subtitle. I guess general may not be a such thing as can be catorized in something else. Thing is the they are moved to different topics they don't get viewed as much and responded to less. I like this forum but it's frustrating to get things moved and no replies after moved. Does anyone else share this issue?

The ones that haunt you... Big ones that got off
Care to share? Just lost a big one in Ohio on a Chatterbait call Many 5 pounders and this how I hooked into it I thought was a log and the log moved . Prob fought for 20 seconds and could barely move it before it came off. Don't know I could have did anything different but it sure sucks my guess would be 7 lb but who knows bigger than 6 for sure. Also had two in Florida that got off that haunt me as well. Anyone have a story to tell about a big one I got off?

Big swimbaits how big is too big
I have a slight swimbaits fettish and bought 6 of them. Bought 6 8 inch Savage Gear swimbaits specifically gonna throw for one big bite. Think I should have went 6 instead or ok with the 8s? I live in Ohio and a few trips to Tennessee and fl but throwing mostly Ohio.

Did switching to flourocarbon get you more bites?
In clear water absolutely over braid. Did some trolling this year for other things crappie, walleye and bass. Ran four lines , it was like 9 to 1 floro over braid. Everything else was equal on more than one occasion. Mono vs florocarbon , I don't know I'm kinda on the fence , think it's a marketing deal and there are some good co polys out there too. Mono that doesn't stretch I like too. I used to be all braid , now I'm 80% folro/co ploy and mono. Don't know if there is a difference between those 3 in bites but vs braid in none heavy cover or non muddy water I was say 100 yes.

Need Help With Replica Mount
This. Skin mounts stretch, shrink and deteriorate. I have a few good ones from fish caught 20 years ago. They look decent but an awesome replica is my vote. All taxidermy and paint job s are not equal.

Copolymer vs florocarbon
Question , you think fish would be picky enough to choose the floro over the co poly? I use sunline sniper and p line tactical and good luck with both ,but for price sake looking at the advanced mono of suffix 10 or 12 pound most of the time and 17 pound for swimbaits. Think the copolymer will work as well as the floro?

Need Help With Replica Mount
A good taxidermist can build extra w bondo I think. I like Joe fittante out of Wisconsin. I would be shocked if he couldnt do that. I think he's the best , but there are other good ones out there. Id shop around and get one to your specs. If it were me I wouldn't want it if it wasn't to spec.

Quest for a monster northern largemouth, pics if you got em please
I know the Ohio record was a northern stain. I read the article they had it tested. I did also read the Indiana one might have been grown or possibly FL strain like you say.

Quest for a monster northern largemouth, pics if you got em please
Setting a couple goals for this year's fishing season. I live in Ohio and every now and then someone in the northern areas catch a monster. Trying to convince myself there's a true 10 pound northern bass in Ohio as I've seen a few pics of such fish. Anyone have pics of an 8 or bigger non Florida strain one? I know it's a really tough goal, but possible? Any encougement appreciated.
