  1. Recently got a bad spool of powerpro and now I’m considering changing braids. What’s the best type of braid for the money?
  2. For the blood and Alberto the braid broke at the knot with braid still in it
  3. For anyone wondering I did a few tests at home. With the blood, uni to uni, and Alberto The connection knot was breaking on the braid side. This was 14lb mono to 30lb power pro. I’m convinced now that I got a bad batch of power pro. Upsetting.
  4. I tied a blood knot and it didn’t slip.
  5. It looked like the braid broke and I was using a blood knot. Interesting
  6. Ya kinda ticked. At the same time tho I could have just gotten a bad spool. I did get it from Walmart lol.
  7. I’ve been in love with power pro since I started using it, but when I went to go pick some new line up I noticed some new packaging. The packaging looked cool so I thought they had made some beneficial changes to the line. I spooled up and headed for the water. After about 20 minutes I had three break offs at my connection knot(30lb braid to 14lb mono). I’ve never had that happen before. All my break offs happen at the lure knot. Could the new power pro be inferior to the old? Has anyone else experienced problems with the new power pro?
  8. Not good. Best fish was not even 2 pounds.
  9. Going to west reservoir on the portage lakes tomorrow with my family and was hoping to get some good advice. Everyone is counting on me to put some big fish in the boat. Anyone willing to help me out? Only been to turkey foot before.
  10. The summer bite is starting to pick up here in NE Ohio, so that means I will be doing a little night fishing. I tried last summer with not a whole lot of success. Does anyone from the area have any advice for me?
  11. I’m not liking all this negativity
  12. Thanks that’s good advice
  13. You can’t transfer between public bodies of water That’s what I’m thinking.
  14. Lots of frogs, turtles, and fish for him to eat in there. The top dog fish is a bass so the only thing that could eat him would be a 4+ pounder. And no I haven’t seen any diseases, but I would be surprised if there were leaches. He came from the wild and has only been with me over the winter. He is very aggressive so I know he will have no problem eating. That’s public waters
  15. I have had my bass since the fall and I think it’s time to let my friend go. I have a perfect private body of water to release him in and he is still less that 10 inches. So does anyone have any advice for me so this transition is comfortable for him?
  16. Alright thanks again.
  17. Oh one last question for you! Do you know why the bass get so big there?
  18. Wow thanks. That was very helpful. God bless.
  19. Ya I plan to bring my kayak(I have a cart so I can take it almost anywhere). Do you have any specific lakes I should hit this time of the year?(I’m strictly catch and release so I won’t harm any fisheries)
  20. I live in Ohio and plan to make a trip to AEP next weekend to do a little bass fishing. Any Ohioans fish there before? If so, any advice for me?
  21. Ya they of course fixed that free of cost and replaced my barely scratched side plate too because of the mistake
  22. All good but what do you mean slight tick? The season just started here in Ohio and I want my reel with me. Doesn’t matter now tho it’s not noisy anymore ya they don’t at all. The last time I sent mine in they said they replaced the worm gear cover but when I went to take a look it was now cracked
  23. I have taken it apart before and I won’t again lol...I messed mine up so bad a couple years ago I had to send it to shimano in pieces. I oiled everything( maybe a little too aggressively) but its perfect again. I just kept playing with it and whatever it was seems to have worked itself out. However I am afraid this won’t be a permanent fix so I would appreciate the pics if it’s not too much trouble.
