NEED advice
A lot can be done with $100-$300 depending on what you'll use it for.

Two rod setup (1 spinner, 1 baitcaster)
Yea, its a mess but has some quality fish. Caught a 4-5lb yesterday on the spinner which was nice on the side of the pond that is clear. I know a few nice fish have to be hiding underneath that crap so upping the baitcaster to some 50lb braid should do the trick.

Two rod setup (1 spinner, 1 baitcaster)
Trying to get the most out of what I currently have in regards to what line I should use with each for the specific setup. Currently: 6ft Triumph with a PennBattleII with 6lb fluorocarbon. I use this for my plastics; texas, senkos, wacky, weedless, etc Dobyn 734c with a Tatula CT currently have 12lb Yo-Zuri which I use for everything else. I plan to switch the baitcaster over to a 50lb PP braid because a new pond I fish has a lot of top water vegetation (about 50% of the pond) so I plan to throw some frogs. Does this seem effective for each in my scenario? Would switching the spinner over to a light braid be better? If needed could I fish plastics on my baitcaster with the braid only or should I use a leader? Thanks in advance for any replies. Trying to maximize my setups the best I can.

Yea I thought about 4lbs. Looked at a length to weight comparison chart it and said between 4-5lbs so I'm pretty happy.

Don't own a scale but going to Walmart tomorrow to get one lol. Anyone have any guess on what they think it weighed? Nothing crazy but still a nice bass for my first time at the pond ? Edit: Compared next to a Dobyns 734C and my size 10.5 shoe

Tatula questions
Just got a Tatula CT on Wednesday and its smooth as butter. Might have just got a faulty one which can happen with any company. I would contact Daiwa and I'm sure they'll help you out.

Zoom Lizard - So Many Colors
I always have a bag chartreuse pepper and some sort of green pumpkin/watermelon on hand. The chartreuse pepper has been surprisingly awesome for me. I’ve heard a lot of people have success with the junebug.

I don’t have a picture right now but when I get off work in the morning I’ll post one up! Edit: added 6ft medium fast St. Croix triumph with a penn battle2 2000 series mainly used for plastics. Dobyns 734C with a Daiwa Tatula CT 7.3:1 which I use for everything. Decided on this setup from browsing these forums prior to actually signing up. Love it!

New guy from NJ (not new to fishing)
Evening everyone! My names Clint as the name says. I finally decided to sign up after weeks of browsing the forums gathering opinions, reviews, etc As the title states I’m from central NJ along the jersey shore. I’ve been fishing since I can remember my dad taking me out. I use to do a lot of saltwater growing up as well as trout and largemouth. Took a hiatus of about 15 years from the largemouth but still did some trout fishing in the spring and fall months as well as saltwater fishing as my brother owns a charter boat. Recently a buddy I work with sent me a picture of a nice largemouth and it’s been over since seeing that picture. Went out and bought some gear and have been going a few times a week for 1-3 hours. Been having a blast and catching some decent fish! Glad to be here and can’t wait to learn more from what I can tell is already a very knowledgeable group!
