  1. I haven't had a chance to use the stickit but even if it slows down the rate of drift I'll be happy but we shall see.
  2. Here in Minnesota we have a lot of relatively shallow lakes (15'-20' max depth) of which much of the fishing is done in 7' or less but on a windy day which we get plenty of it's impossible to pick a nice cove or area and just cast 20-30 times without getting pushed away quickly. The bottom is mucky so anchoring 10x a day is messy and time consuming. I haven't been out with the stickit shallow system yet but I think it's going to be pretty slick.
  3. / My stick it motor mount. The 8 ft pole fits nicely and securely with the tip slipped under the rear gunnel and handle velcro strapped to the top of the rod rack.
  4. Thanks. Since I have a standard boat transom 55 ft lbs it is. ?
  5. Thanks for that video. On another note I am installing a stick it shallow water pin and motor mount bracket on my classic....... and my question is what are the torque specs for then motor mount nuts? https://stickitanchorpins.com/product/8-stick-it-anchor-pin-motor-mount-bracket/
  6. You'll get over the loss. When my last one died I said never again. I was a wreck for 3 months.
  7. My experience is that you would have to be driving around non stop for 4+ hours to use the gas in a full tank. I have been out fishing numerous times and am amazed on how little gas we use. The gas tank supplied seems more than plenty if you are fishing and using the trolling motor.
  8. Thanks for the feedback. There are some lakes in Northern Minnesota I'd like to fish that are pretty large acreage wise. I've been out on three different local lakes here in southern Minnesota the largest being a 950 acre lake and the classic did fine. I suppose with more experience I'll learn more about it's limitations.
  9. New Tracker Classic owner here. New to bass fishing. My question(s) is... what is the lake size limitations for this boat? I fully understand wind and weather need to be accounted for so with that in mind what is the largest lake size I should ever consider taking this size boat onto?
  10. I think I'm going to put down some sort of protectant on that area. I'll need to make it a habit to turn the motor off or unplug it when not in use.
  11. My son and I picked up our new Classic a couple of weeks ago and have not been able to get out to fish with it yet but we were able to get out with it for the 2 hour break in procedure. So far so good. I do have a question about the trolling motor......when the trolling motor is lifted up out of the water is it better to have the propeller facing inward inside the boat or outward or doesnt it make a difference? The reason I ask is that when the prop is inward it seems to naturally slide along the aft rubber padding with the risk of cutting the pad I can actually see a very faint line where its starting to do it.
  12. The black marks I had came off with Turtle Wax polish and elbow grease.
