  1. Thanks for the info.
  2. Interesting. I've had my Nasci since May and last week I had this happen to me. Like you, I only heard it if while I was fishing a spoon or fluke or the reel was up right. I didn't hear it fishing a topwater BUT as you stated, I had the rod tip down so the reel wasn't upright. I just sent mine off to Shimano this past week so I hope they have a fix or replacement.
  3. I just sent off my Nasci FC 3k. It was making this odd noise like my drag was getting pulled while I was fishing. I know we live in covid times, turnaround times have changed but am I looking at 2 weeks or so before getting anything back?
  4. So I sent the reel back last week and got a call back yesterday. They said they tested out the reel and checked it internally and everything looks like it should. They said the only thing they notice is my line is slipping? and to re spool using tape as backing. Does anyone use tape? I thought I had mono as my backing but maybe not.
  5. Thanks. I actually watched it. In my case the drag was set a bit too tight so my reel actually flexed to my left. I have adjusted the drag since then. No flex but there's that annoying wobble it does when I hook up and these aren't even big fish.
  6. Thanks for the info. Yeah, the reel is still under warranty so its just a matter of me getting off my butt and sending the reel to them....
  7. I've never done a warranty with my Daiwa reels but I am strongly thinking of sending back my Fuego LT. I bought in December, reel works fine when casting and retrieving but the moment I hook up, the reel has this weird wobble to it. Can anyone tell me their experiences with Daiwa Warranty? Thanks.
  8. Thanks for the help again though folks. Hopefully if I am able to land a much bigger fish, I can update you guys. Sadly, its blazing hot right now and the fish are a bit deep and the dam isn't doing us any favors by turning on the wrong water turbines.
  9. I noticed while reeling back while fighting the fish that there was a lot of pressure/tough to reel. I happen to look down and notice that the reel was flexing to the left.
  10. Yep. I actually swapped it to a different rod since I was striper fishing and made sure it was on tight in the reel seat. I wouldn't think so either, I was fishing in some current but still never had any flex on any reels there before. Yeah I really don't know what to do with it. I could keep it and fish for smaller fish with it but at 100 bucks I would rather not and yes I have also thought about selling it and investing in something else. I actually watched that video..EliasV mentioned not feeling any flex at all? so not sure. After loosen the drag on the next day, it doesn't flex but the reel has their odd wobble to it but overall it felt better than the day before.
  11. Anyone here own a fuego LT? I bought mine about six months ago. I never noticed an issue with the reel flexing till the other day. i hooked up on a small striper, 15 inches or so. I was fishing at a local dam so there was some mild currrents there and noticed the reel started flexing to the left(where my handle is). Never had this issue before. I went fishing again the next day, loosen the drag a bit(I use 15lb braid so I set the drag down to 4.5 lbs or so. I usually just play it by ear when fishing). I didn't notice any flex so maybe that fixed the "issue". Anyways, just wanted to see if anyone else has ran into an issue like this. Thanks.
