  1. Most of my rods have a baitkeeper down at the reel. I noticed the other day when I picked up my rod, my unpegged texas weight went flying down the rod hitting every eye on the way. I wonder how many broken eyes are caused by this without anyone noticing. Another reason I now peg my weights, keeps things safe when the hook is on the baitkeeper.
  2. This, exact rig I fish almost exclusively, with a stick worm (senko type worm)
  3. Strike King Shim-E-Stick, wacky rigged. Available at WalMart
  4. Cool, I was just watching the 73 classic and saw the pistol grips and strange lures being named. Thought "I bet a Bull Shad would have been nice to show off back then."
  5. Taking with you only artificial baits, if you could travel back to say 1973 BassMaster Classic, could you win with today's bait options? What if 1970s Roland Martin had a senko?

  7. Thanks guys, seems to be a little used, or known, technique. Ribbits sure look good swimming just under the surface. Not too far off from a Rage Bug or Craw when you think about it.

  9. Does anyone have luck fishing soft frogs, like Ribbits, on the bottom? I have not found much info online. I love Ribbits and figured adding a 3/16 bullet weight and crawling on bottom would seem enticing.
