bait rigs
Don't use live bait for bass fishing. Don't see much sense in it personally. Use what works best for you! Thanx, Randy

Lens color you prefer
I've always read and been told that blue mirror was mostly designed for deep sea fishing, ocean environments, and most fresh water would be best with brown or green mirror. I think that is what Costas large display in my favorite LGS and fishing store says. I tend to use brown polarized lenses most often myself haven't had a chance to go offshore in a few years now. rlm1, Randy

Central Va., area, looking for a Smallmouth guide?
Not sure if this is the correct place for this, so thought I'd try. Central Va., Mighty James for smallmouth. Looking to see if there are any known guides on the James around the Richmond area, not so much tidal James, maybe Watkins Landing section? Back in the late 70s to early 90s, used to fish there a lot from the landing to Bosher's Dam, and caught large and smallmouth, usually doing very well with jig and pig and rubber worms. So, maybe the brain trust can come up with something on this? I've done searches and just not really finding much. There are some way out west towards the head waters, but I can't travel that much any more because of spinal arthritis and an 8 hour day on the water may not be in the cards for me now days and a 3 to 4 hour drive 1 way! Thanx folks, nice weekend coming up, wet a line! rlm1 Randy

New old guy here, from the Comonwealth of Va.!
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm born and raised right here in the Richmond area. Love to fish have been doing that most of my 63 years, along with hunting. My dad and uncles did me right growing up! Just don't get to go much anymore due to arthritis. Love rock hopping thru Richmond for my favorite smallmouth, chunking red shad worms, yep a good one around here, but pretty much confined to shore these days! So I'll live vicariously thru you younger bucks! rlm1, Randy
