  1. So I went here after purchasing a nrx and two conquests online to register: https://www.gloomis.com/content/gloomis/northamerica/usconv/en/homepage/Product_Registration.html It speaks of a serial number and manufacture date (two letters). Well I don't see a serial number or manufacture date on the nrx 852c, conquest 843c nor on my conquest 904c. What am I missing here? Can anyone confirm if the serial number and manufacture date exist anymore? Thanks in advance for the help.
  2. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
  3. The 904C is a fast action heavy and the NRX 852C is a extra-fast action medium. Main application is bass on spinnerbait.
  4. Morning. I have the following reels and I was wondering what you guys thought would be best paired with Conquest 904c: Shimano 20 Metanium 6.2 Shimano Curado DC 150HG 7.4 Shimano SLX XT 150 7.2 Shimano Chronarch MGL 150 6.2 I have a NRX 852C that I ordered on eBay, planning to pair with one of the above too. I was thinking the Chronarch on the NRX and Metanium on the Conquest.
  5. Yes, using the Shimano Conquest CNQ 843C MBR and Shimano Chronarch MGL as my first and only (for now) starting bass rod.
  6. Afternoon. Looking for recommendations on the best line to use for bass fishing paired up with the Shimano Chronarch MGL | Shimano Conquest CNQ 843C MBR. I come from a fly fishing background, so not familiar with quality lines available for baitcasters. Thanks in advance for the help.
  7. Afternoon. I have decided to go with one of the two referenced above and was looking for recommendations on which to pick. I will likely be fishing spinnerbait most of the time, but also want to add in versatility. In regard to bearing speed, should one go with 6:2:1 or 7.1:1? Target fish is bass. Thanks in advance for the insight.
  8. Thanks, I believe I am going to go with the "CNQ 843C MBR". Any preference you like with the extra 6" on the "CNQ 903C MBR"?
  9. Not looking at any specific price point. I am looking for best quality | performance | versatility irregardless to price. Thanks for the recommendations.
  10. Morning. I have traditionally fly fished, but due to potentially buying a new property on a lake, I am interested in purchasing a new bass rod and was looking for some recommendations. I have been looking at the G. Loomis rods and I am lacking knowledge on the differences in their rod series. I am used to pricey rods from Orvis and Hardy, so the price is not so relevant - quality and performance are. I am searching for a rod that will match up well with a baitcaster reel and spinnerbait. Specifically from the site, the E6X 812C SBR looked like a good match. However, I am curious if any of their higher series match up well with spinnerbait, as I would be using this type of lure most frequently. However, I would welcome extended versatility. I am not necessarily stuck on G. Loomis, but turned up as a high quality rod in my searches. Price range somewhere between 300-1000. Thanks much for the potential insight.
