Tracker 2018 Heritage/2019 Classic edition boat
i also pondered using the industrial velcro...so if it got really dirty i could just pick it up, clean it really well and then put it back

I was thinking i'd probably have to drop shot a bit since it's not exactly 70*F outside...should i try jerkbaits? cranks? ned'in?

Ended up seeing the boat tonight...and went for it. The transom is solid as a rock with absolutely no movement in it, and overall the boat has very little marks in the gel coat aside from one or two minor spots along the hip line from docking hard.

1997 Sprint 286 DC Pro Tournament, with Johnson 115hp motor on a dual axle. Boat, engine and trailer are all in insanely good condition for the age. Basically getting it for free as well.

hey BR - name's Paul, just started fishing not too long ago - just 3 months ago actually. always been into golf and other sports until my close friend introduced me to this addicting sport. have to say i've already spent a ton on tackle and rod/reel setups -- and love it so much i'm looking to buy my first boat in the coming months. i live in the top third of NJ, and dead middle between PA and NY along route 80. i haven't fished a ton of places but, i'm on fishbrain already and have been out almost every other day since i started fishing until the weather didn't cooperate. thanks for having me - happy to be here. -P

My first bass boat - Sprint 286 DC ProTournament
i don't mind blunt - the boat (haven't inspected it in-person yet as i'm on travel for work; will see it sunday) is going to be free to me. i will do as others have posted and do a thorough look at the transom, floors, hull and others places for stress cracks and weak spots. while i understand you believe it might be a 'cheap' boat, i've literally never owned a boat before and this would be my first one.
