I love the intenza I have it in medium action fast and I use it for jerks and top water and paired it with a lews superduty and I Don’t like setting it down it’s very comfortable and has good sensitivity

I had been fishing with a lews superduty so far no complaint with the slx

Any one have experience setting this up? I tried to set the reel up per instructions from shimano and the reel required a little thumbing then I set the reel up by putting more tension on With the spool tension knob and let the bait fall and then I was bombing baits with no issues! Wow what a impressive reel!

My favorite type of fishing is top water and jerkbait so I like to throw floating minnows and poppers. That usually works for large mouth I’m gonna try the same thing for small mouth this year. I use a medium fast action tip 6’10” rod.

Yes I had good luck all year in the f11 floating minnow

I would recommend a lews superduty or the lews carbon fire. The shimano slx is a nice one also. But for flipping and stuff I’d go with the super duty

I was using a lews carbon fire and I thought it was a awesome awesome rod I paid 50 bucks for it on sale and i Wanted to up grade to something of a little better quality and maybe a little more sensitive for those jerkbaits.

Anyone have one I picked up a medium fast action casting rod for jerkbait and top water. Was wondering if anyone might have some feed back in this particular model. I have never owned a shimano rod before.

Lews superduty would be be good for flipping

I’m going to use this model for top water and jerkbaits. Feels smooth but have yet to cast it.
