Those Provokes have become my favorite jerkbaits over the past year. I caught a ton of fish on the perch color last spring.

I fished the 7-8 a couple times with a buddy of mine and had pretty good luck. Unfortunately for me I don't have a boat so I'm restricted to areas that I can easily access from shore for now. I've pulled some real nice small mouth from just downstream of 8 from shore though.

I see you are out in Fort Plain. I used to fish the Mohawk out that way for Walleye on a pretty regular basis. Unfortunately I haven't really made it out that way in a while.

You honestly can't go wrong with either one. I have a few of the Tatulas and have been nothing but impressed with them. I especially like the fact that Daiwa offers the Tatula in a shallow spool version if you go to the 3000 size.

Just checking in to introduce myself. I am not new to fishing, but new to the site. I live around the capital district of NY, and fish mostly local ponds and lakes.
