I have one each of Chronarch MGL and Metanium MGL. The Metanium MGL is wonderful, fits like a glove. On the other hand, I don't particularly like the Chronarch MGL. If I had Metanium first, would have returned the Chronarch. Am considering a less expensive reel for some applications. How do the sizes of the Curado 70 MGL and SLX MGL compare to the Chronarch and Metanium MGL?

Would clear or green Trilene Big Game be a better color for topwater in muddy water? Questions pertains to fishing a farm pond with visibility 0 up to maybe a foot at most.

Thanks for all the replies! I have one Metanium MGL B. Haven't really been out fishing with it yet, but practice casting (new to bait casters), I can palm the reel. I'm not comfortable palming my Chronarch, but it is for or crank and jerk baits anyway, so doesn't matter much. Perhaps TW will open their reel try out before I'm ready purchase my next reel.

How big is the Alderbaran MGL vs. 2020 Metanium MGL? Is the Aldebaran easier to palm than the 2020 Metanium?

Thanks for the input and recommendations. I pulled the trigger for Lew's TP-1 Black Speed Stick 7' 2" MH, Mod-Fast. The two year warranty was the deciding factor.

Considering a graphite spinning rod for crankbaits. I've narrowed down to Fencwick Tech Elite or Lew's Custom Speedstick or Lew's BLack Speed stick Magnum2. Thoughts, preferences, reason, etc to chose one or the other.
