Would clear or green Trilene Big Game be a better color for topwater in muddy water?  Questions pertains to fishing a farm pond with visibility 0 up to maybe a foot at most.

Water that stained - unless you go to a super-bright color - color won't matter.

If it's that stained, you don't need to use a leader.  I use straight braid for topwater. 

Even if it's clear you don't need a leader, just use straight braid. I fish straight braid on most all my topwater baits except baits with a front prop and buzzbaits no matter the water clarity.
