transducer is mounted on the back left side at the very botom of the boat and trolling motor is mounted on the front leftside

I posted this on yahoo group for the side image wanted to see what you all thought about it and get some imput from you guys. I recently installed a 797 si on my 16' jon boat with only a trolling motor on it. I got up to 2mph by the gps but the water was choppy and i could not get a good bottom scan with the si. When i pulled back in a calm cove i got a decent scan of the bottom. If I drop my transducer down some more would that help with the choppy water. I just need some suggestions. Also the 2D always showed up good. The Si did in the calm water. Any suggestions from you guys.

can someone tell me how to wire one of these up?

i did run the ground because thats what i thought and it still did it :-/

I recently bought a jon boat and the trailer lights didnt work. Well my buddy wired me some new lights up and they work fine untill you turn on the head lights on the truck. Also when you turn on a blinker it is crossing over and both will blink. Anyone know what is causing these problems I am not the best with lights but finding out they can be a pain.

I love the cool spring mornings and the muggy sumer days. I love the time I get to spend fishing watching nature and enjoying the day. I love how fishing is a stress relief and i enjoy the time I get to spend out on the water. There realy isnt anything i dont love about bass fishing but above all I really love getting bass thumb.

I am wondering how many guys on here fish the BFL? I a considering fishing it next year as a coangler just wondering what you guys opinions on it are

thats pretty much it one thing i would say is dont go to far on the different lure though you dont want one of you fishing a crankbait and the other trying to fish a worm or jig. Reason being crankbait fishing is a lot faster so maybe if he is fishing a crankbait try a different crankbait or a spinnerbait but like said above dont fish the excact same lure till a pattern is found
