I use cals drag grease and penn blue grease for pretty much all reel issues. I just today rebuilt 3 ocean city 940's that were hard to crank and had no drag to speak of. Which didn't surprise me since oc has been gone since 1968. A good good cleaning and replacing the leather or whatever that mess was with ht 100's (used same as the penn 109) and they all 3 work like new. Good grease always and good cleaning always and good service at least once a year and your grandkids grandkids will be able to able to use your reels.
